13 days post-op

Things started to get better everyday from day 5. My drowsiness was completely gone. I drove day 6 for a short trip and I didn't feel safe. Steering the wheel was hard and slow so opted to refrain from driving until day 9 and I was much better. Left breast still swollen more than the right but that's normal. The glue around the areola started to peel off and shape started to look round rather than oval. Day 10 my breast are becoming soft and the breast is starting to fall below in incision. I am on and off the bra and massaging daily. So far I am still very pleased but hoping that they won't drop to a sagging look.

Day 2, 3 and 4

I was released from the hospital by 12 noon the next day. Sleeping at the hospital was a nightmare. I couldn't rest nor get comfortable. The next 2 nights at home were just as uncomfortabke if not more. The medications got me drowsy and I just couldn't fall asleep at night. Day 4 and things seems to be changing, I am num mostly, I now forget that I just had BA 4 days ago until I make a sudden move and get that sharp muscle stab on my chest to remind me to take it easy. Still finding it hard to fall asleep but I am sure I will manage in the next few days.i stopped all painkillers on day 4.

DAY 1 POST OP

My breast augmentation and areola reduction took about 2.5 hours. I arrived to the hospital at 7 where my room was handed over, WiFi connected, gown change, and the syringe thingy placed. By 840 I saw my surgeon where he marked my chest and we had a good chat and set expectation and had all my questions answered. By 9:10 I was in the operating room, And was informed that u will be going to sleep and then woke up in the recovery room. My Dr came and saw me showed me photographs of my breasts and confirmed that there was no complication.

I was fully awake 20 minutes later and about 1 hour later I was able to use to restroom. Around 5 pm my left breast swelled a little more than the right, Dr. Rory came to the hospital that evening to check things himself and didn't seem concerned. Though I was put to fast from 12 midnight until 9 am the next day as if the swelling increased he may have needed to open it back up and flush excess fluids.

Due to my protein S issues 2 drains were put in order to keep an eye on the blood loss and clotting.

Sleeping was my major discomfort. I couldn't rest properly and had a severe back ache but around 4 am I was given pain killers and slept uninterrupted for 4 hours.

Provider Review

Dr. Rory McGoldrick

DR. Rory had made me feel so comfortable from the first time we met back in Jan 2017. I have seen him 3 times since Jan and he patiently answered all my questions during our meetings and his responses via whatsapp were always within the same day.
