7 months after rhinoplasty
First of all my apologies I did not post an update sooner. I had to move countries, change job and go through some personal issues so this post just slipped out of my mind.
It has been 7 months since the surgery and the nose is pretty much recovered, but if you ask me if I am 100% satisfied - the answer is no.
The final result is not what I was hoping for as my nose is still long, has a hump and is not even. I thought that I will not need to worry about taking pictures anymore, but even after surgery I have the good and the bad angles.
My current nose if of course much better than before and I am not ashamed of it anymore, but after paying 25,000 dirhams for this procedure I was hoping for better end result.
I know that I had a tough case as my nose was totally deviated inside so I don't know if this is maximum what doctor can fix, but I guess I will never find out the answer to this.
I've seen doctor Charbel“s other pre and post photos and they look amazing. So if you don't have such a bad case as mine I think you can expect a very pretty nose.
Please see pictures how my nose looks as of today.

As long as I remember myself I always hated my nose. I got my dads and grand-dads big, long and bulbous nose. From the picture you can see it was not even a question if I should do a rhinoplasty - it was an obvious YES.
Not only that my nose was big, but it was badly deviated and my left side was always embarrassing me, because it looked bigger than the right side and it bothered me so much that I always tried to choose a place to sit to show my right side to people. I was feeling very uncomfortable the way I looked on the pictures, always showing one angle. It is so important for a girl to have a feminine nose, I am sure you all agree.
In June 2017 I decided that it is the right time for the surgery and I started doing my research. I live in Dubai, but I knew that doing a surgery in Lebanon or Turkey is much cheaper even with flights and the hotel. Nevertheless I sent my pictures to 20+ doctors in Dubai, Istanbul and Beirut and started my selection process. Many doctors replied and were nice to me, but my favorite was doctor Charbel Medawar. He got back to me quickly, connected via whatsapp, we had a quick phone call, I liked his before and after pics and I just realized he is the one who I trust.
I meant to do the surgery at the end of July in Lebanon, but I got a new job outside of the UAE, therefore my timelines changed completely. I was very lucky that doctor Charbel operates in Dubai every two weeks. While the price is more than double in Dubai I didnt care, I wanted him to operate me.
We then scheduled a consultation for July 8th and the next day I had the surgery.
Yesterday morning I got to the hospital around 8 am. The nurse showed me my room, asked to get changed and to wait for the anesthesiologist. About two hours later it was the time for the surgery. I was a bit nervous, because I was not allowed to wear eye contacts and without the glasses I don't see anything (the glasses were not allowed to the operation theater). Once they brought me next to the operation theater the nurse put something into my vein to relax me and that is the last thing I remember. Then I woke up after the surgery, the nurses were cleaning my face, putting cold compress on the cheeks. I had no pain at all. I spent about 4 hours in the recovery area and was brought back to my room after.
I was feeling great, a bit of pain, but I could walk and eat straight away. Today is a first full day after the surgery and I have not taken any painkillers.
Don't buy too many things for your surgery. Just have these three things with you: a straw to drink water, arnical cream to apply on the bruises and wipes to wipe the face - that's it.
The bruises and swelling on the second day are worse, but as long as you keep your head high it's fine. I am already working full day today from home...
I had quite a bit of work done on my nose. From the picture you can see that I also have stitches on the sides of the nostrils as we had to make them smaller. Doctor said to keep the dressing inside of the nostril for an additional day as I had strong deviation. On Wednesday morning I am going back to the hospital to remove the dressing to be able to breath through the nose. And next Sunday we will remove the splint and the stitches - cannot wait!
Even though my face and the nose are super swollen I can already see the results and I was so happy I chose doctor Medawar to operate me - he is so professional and kind and easy to talk to that you know you are in the best hands.
Last thing I wanted to add is that if a rhinoplasty is really your dream - do it! Do not be afraid, it is so worth it and will change your life completely! I will be excited to share with you more pictures over the next few days to show how I am healing :) I'll be happy to answer any questions you might have, because this forum was so helpful that I hope I can be helpful to someone too :)
