5 weeks post op and feeling great!!

WORTH IT$5,400
Today is 5 weeks post op and I am feeling great. I have no restrictions and have been back doing 40 minutes of cardio a day and starting to do ab work and especially working on my fat thighs and butt!! I know, I have cellulite and saggy skin but I found really cute shorts that show off my new tummy and cover the flaws of my thighs. I love the new belly and I know that in 6 months it's going to be even better!!!!

This is such a huge improvement for you. Did the puckering go away?
Thanks! The puckering on the scar is definitely going away. I should have taken a picture of the scar, but my stretch marks are down there now so it looks worse than it is. The scar is smoothing out and healing really well.
You look awesome! Your PS did a marvelous job. Congrats!!

Three Weeks Post-Op--Feeling So Much Better Now the Drains Are Out

I am three weeks post op, and my drains were finally ready for removal on Monday. I could not believe the different in my range of motion after they came out. I am seeing the results, although still swollen. I am able to exercise, as long as I listen to my body and lift up to 30 lbs. My doctor was strict about no showers while drains were in and he also required the drains stay in until three consecutive days of less than 25cc each drain, but I followed all the rules and I haven't had any problems. I still have stretch marks, which I new I would, but they are no longer sagging and puckered. My goal was to eliminate the hanging extra skin, and that skin is gone, so this is a successful outcome! I am hoping to be flatter when I can do crunches and sit ups again. Get me that flat tummy I want. I am back at work full time, and feeling really good overall.

I will be 49 in March, I have four awesome adult children and the most adorable 8-year-old grandson. My life has been focused on being a mother and a caretaker and my weight yo-yo'd. About four years ago, I lost 60+ lbs and kept it off, but losing that much at the age I was, after years of being too heavy and going up and down, plus the babies, left me with a stomach that hung and made me sick to look at. I looked great in clothes, but I knew what was underneath. After years of being single, I met an amazing man, who purchased us a trip to Mexico for a full week in January in an all-inclusive resort, and my stomach dropped. I could not bear the thought of putting on a swimming suit, and the group of friends we are going with--well, let's just the women all have amazing tone bodies. I was ready to break up with this man to avoid the trip. I had dreamed of a tummy tuck, and knew it was time to take the plunge. After my consult, I knew it was what I absolutely had to do. I am 12 days post op and I'm so excited for the trip. No more fear of the water and sunshine!!

Wow you look great! Congrats on your weight-loss. I like the location of your scar it looks like it shouldit be easy to cover in a two piece. Can you tell us more about where you had lipo? WHere you happy with doctor Bindrup, I have heard mixed reviews
I didn't have any lipo, I only had the tummy tuck. I am so happy with Dr. Bindrup. I was surprised because I too read mixed reviews, but truly, he was so wonderful. I was actually surprised at how low he was able to get my incision. I have a ton of sagging skin at the top of my legs, which I hate, but would not be fixed by lipo. The only fix for that would be a thigh lift, but Dr. Bindrup doesn't do them because they are not worth the scarring and I don't want scared thighs. So he was able to pull up my skin to alleviate some of the sagging. I am so unbelievably happy with my experience with Dr. Bindrup and his entire staff. I have been treated so kindly by everyone. They are strict about the drains, and no showering while the drains are in, but I know it is because they want to prevent and give me the best results. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Bindrup over and over again. One more thing about the location of a scar, I saw a tummy tuck Dr. Bindrup did on a friend and she looks amazing, but she told me, "make sure he gets your incision low enough" because she wasn't happy about the location. They explained to me that the incision all depends on how much skin is removed and that in order to pull up the thigh skin, the incision has to be higher. So I was expecting a much higher scar, so I am VERY happy!! Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks for sharing! You have beautiful results. Congratulations on your new tummy and wearing whatever you want! It's about time, right? Happy healing!
Hi, you have fabulous results!! How was the pain for a couple days post op? You will definately be ready for the beach! I am going on a trip to at the end of April and should be fully healed by then..my surgery is Dec 15th. The thought of buying a bikini because it looks cute on me versus "does it suck it in and cover up" is going to be the best feeling.
I think it's kind of like having a baby...I'm not really remembering the pain. I took my pain meds every four hours at first, which kept on top of it, so my recollection is that yes it hurt, but bearable for sure. I get very nauseated with narcotics, so I took the anti-nausea meds 15 minutes before the pain medication and it worked like a charm. I am two weeks post op today, and I have been off all pain meds for a week. I occassionally take 800 mg ibuprofen as needed, but typically that's only once a day. Yes! You should be fully healed by your trip. Best of luck with your surgery!! :-)
You have amazing results.
Wow, you look amazing! ;)
