Love Lipo! - Georgia

Since going all the way around my middle I believe it is not swelling. I can now see my 2 tummy's when before it was totally flat. I'm thinking it is sepersted tissue in order to go around the waistline. Time shall tell. Right now I am angry as I can pinch an inch on both bellies and on my bra line. All of this is from Sono Bello which is insured if I am not happy and I have a good feeling that they will have to fix a few things. If I had it all over to do again, I would rather go to Dr Okoro as his surgery turned out perfect. But my husband is being mean about going in for moe lipo. I think I am addicted only because I have fought my weight all of my life and I feel so good! I don't care how old I am (49), I do not ever want to be huge and I was born with far to many fat cells being from Europe. I will go in for my 6 month in July and will update then.

My first surgery was in Austell with Stanley Okoro. He was once with Sono Bello Atlanta. I did not know much about smart lipo except for reading on the internet. I didn't know anyone that had the surgery before. I went in for love handles, abdomen, and upper tummy. My experience was great! Dr Okoro is really nice and makes you feel at ease. I had immediate compliments. Although swollen I could see the results right away. I was down about 5 days. This is pretty normal due to the attack on the core of your body. Lol But not in pain. I reached my size after 4 months. The swelling was pretty much gone after that. I went down a pant size (2 inches). All in all, I would recommend Dr Okoro to anyone who is getting lipo for their first time. I was at ease and I never felt a thing! So thankful!

After 6 months I found that Dr Okoro never went all the way around my waist. We did love handles, not the waist. So when you go in be aware that you need to be very specific with your body parts. I went to Sono Bello next for the waist and bra roll. It was a totally different experience. My surgeon was Dr Welsh. Another very nice man :) After I had my meds I sat around too long before getting to the surgery because I felt the bra roll. It hurt. It was as if I were being stabbed on my rib bone. I believe there may have been a scheduling problem as the person before me took awhile thus my meds were wearing off. Not entirely their fault as every surgery is different and there is always the chance of complications and that may have been why the woman ahead of me took longer than expected. I guess because of the area (bra roll), I really have not noticed much of a difference. Of course I never really studied my back side. My expectations were for a smooth back all the way down to the lower back especially because we were going all the way around this time. I actually went back last month instead of waiting for my 3 month check. I went back because I felt like I could still grab fat. Another Dr saw me and pretty much brushed me off because it had only been 8 weeks to the day of my surgery. He said it was swelling and assured me that I would get smaller. It has now been 12 weeks and I feel fat around my middle. When I sit down I feel a roll which drives me nuts. And I can grab love handles again? I think I am not as knowledgable as I should be on contouring. I am not saying they didn't do a good job. I think they know what they are doing and I don't. I was planning to go back for my hips and lower back (that funky "shelf" that sits up over your butt), but I need to figure out whats going on with my middle first. I spent 3200 at Dr Okoro and 3000 at Sono Bello. I love Lipo. It's not a solution for weight loss. It accents your already fit and healthy lifestyle. In my case it has allowed me to eat again. Genetically inclined to be a large 100% German woman, I can eat 900 to 1200 calories a day without gaining weight. Reducing the number of fat cells in my body is my saving grace. I am well aware of my age (49). I dress appropriately for my age. This is way more than vanity for me. It's about aging more comfortably by being able to keep active. But I have to warn you.....it's addicting :) I will update in a month to see whether or not it is swelling throwing me off.
