Some Measurements....

Just an FYI at 9 weeks post:

Hips, Thighs and Bust measurements remained exactly the same (as expected since we did not target those areas). However, WAIST has decreased by 1" and LOWER STOMACH AREA by 1.5". I think those results are pretty great considering no surgery. I can now wear a size 8 without "spilling" over the top. No real weight-loss...about 2 lbs. I plan on doing my love handles when I get the funds and the courage!

Hi all. So I'm writing this review 8 weeks after...

Hi all. So I'm writing this review 8 weeks after my 1st (and only as of now) CoolSculpting procedure to my lower stomach area. I had 2 core applicators (small applicators) applied in an over-lapping way across my lower tummy area. With Dr. Bawa (Destin, FL) they are $600 each (I didn't want to buy a whole package in case in didn't work...but if you do, you may get a discount). Each applicator took exactly 1 hour and there was no pain during the procedure. The vacuum suction was slightly uncomfortable in the beginning and very cold at the start, but that was about it for me. I read a book and it was over in what seemed like a very short time. When they first take the applicator off, it looks like a frozen chicken breast. So funny! Then Dr. Bawa's assistant massaged it back into a (very cold) stomach. I ran errands and went to the gym right afterward.

Ok, now I have to tell you the only downside fore me. Holy heck. I was going along nicely. Only mild swelling for 2 days and a tiny bit of redness...nothing major. Then on Day 4 the twinges started. I told my husband "I'm starting to feel something". It started like little electric zaps across the tummy area....then it got worse. Much worse. It was horrible from Day 4 - Day 9. It was hard to sleep. Anything touching it hurt so bad. I ended up medicating myself at night for 3 nights just to sleep. I would NOT plan on working for those days...it was pretty awful. It feels like frost-bite that starts to get nerve feeling back...there is no other way to describe it.

But after Day 10 I was fine, and none the worse for wear! I started to see a difference around the 4 week mark, and seriosly every day gets better!

My stats:
I'm 5'10.5" and athletic. I am a mom of 4 kids, including twins (thanks for the stretchmarks, guys!)
Starting weight: 158.2
Weight now: 155.6
I workout 4 days per week with 3 hours of cardio per week and weight-lifting. I didn't change anything about my workouts after the CoolSculpting.

I do have to say - and I have seen this in other reviews - CoolSculpting is REALLY ONLY FOR VERY SPECIFIC PROBLEM AREAS.....about the size of a large baked potato is all that will fit in the applicator...some said a "stick of butter"....and that is close. I would only do this if you want an isolated area of fat removed...I don't think it will work for much more, but they do have a larger applicator.

I'm happy to answer any questions, gals (and guys)....thanks:)

Very quiet, polite, and knowledgable. Nice staff and very informative. Love that he offered ideas without trying to talk me into anything. I will definitely go there again.
