Hi Everyone. May i just start by saying what an incredible group we have here. Because you all wee so unselfish in posting your procedures and pictures- from which I have learned so much- I feel that it was time to repay the favor!
I am 43 years old. I don't have exactly the best genetic back up when it comes to my eyes. 10 years ago I had surgery to remove the access skin on the upper eyelids. At that point with my doctor he brought up that I would eventually need lower eye lid surgery as well. They weren't that bad yet to I decided to wait.
Two years ago I I Started noticing that the bag unde my eyes were getting More bulky and that the was a line forming around the orb of the eye( directly in line with the upper cheek) and much more prominent crows feet.
This last June I received a first round of sculptra. As promised the sculptra filled nicely but eventually would settle down and begin to fill out the face again. Last month I started to then notice an extreme change in my lower eye area. The bags were very heavy and when I smiled the newly filled cheeks created almost a pocket under the eye which cause the orb line to crinkle baldy - this left not only more visible bags but the orb like was extremely pronounced.
I Happen to go today to Dr Kim's office to receive my first round of hair laser removal. Dr Kim had performed a co2 laser on me back in January which was spectacular! As I was waiting for the tech to get me settled in my room for the hair removal the Dr came in and mentioned immediately how tired and much older I was looking due to the lower eye area. He suggested me getting Artefill . He showed me incredible pictures of some of his patients and I was immediately sold. Not only was I extremely conscience of my lower eye lid area but I could feel the weight of those bags !!!! Actually I had been researching Drs for lower eye lid surgery but when he explained that this was permanent and I saw what incredible results I knew with such little downtime and cost that I needed to go ahead with it!
He lucky had a cancelation and was able to fit me in today. The photos are of me pre Artefill and then 20 minutes post procedure. It was not a painful process what so ever and I am a bit swollen ( taking Benadryl for that) but as you can see the results are immediate.
I am due in to Dr Kim's office for a check up to see if any of the Artefill has hardened next Friday. I then have my second dose applied in one month followed by a third dose in 3-6 months after. I will keep everyone updated on the progress with photos.
