I wanted to wait a while before I started my review, so here goes! I first inquired May 13, 2016 by the time I did my impressions (I had to do 2 of them) and received my treatment plan it was around July. My treatment will last about 10 months and consist of 20 trays; each to be worn for 2 weeks.

I did not have the money to start right away so I started around September 2016. After I paid, I waited almost a month and received my first 3 sets along with 5 tubes of whitening and the other items that are included in the box (chewies, the little hooks to help you remove them, etc.).

My very first trays were TIGHT and it took some getting use to. I had a slight lisp and the edges irritated my gums and tongue very badly. That same day I purchased dental wax and it did wonders!!! From the 1st-3rd tray I only received one email from them asking how the treatment was going and then nothing.

I had an issue getting my 4th tray and when I emailed them, they replied back the next day that someone would check what was going on and get back in contact with me and to continue wearing my trays. After not hearing anything for two days I called, and after being on hold for about 5-10 minutes I was told that the lab was backed up and the representative said that she would personally look into it and let me know what was going on later that day; I never received a phone call.

Finally, about 3-4 days later I receive an email stating that my order was being shipped. By the time I received the next set, I had been wearing tray 3 for a month!

They sent trays 4-10 and I put in tray 4 right away. There was a little discomfort but nothing out of the normal.

I put in tray 5 last night and the pressure is intense! So, I took a couple of Excedrine and went to bed. I also experienced a little bleeding this morning but nothing that I felt I should be concerned with. However, if the bleeding continues or gets severe then I will contact them and go see my dentist. Also, removing this set is more painful than the other sets, and if that continues then I will contact SDC to see if the aligners are a misfit.

All in all, right now, I give them a 3 over all mainly because of their customer service and slow production time. Because my treatment is so extensive it will take a little while to begin seeing results (around tray 10), so I'm holding off on saying if the treatment is working for me as of yet.
