Definitely Worth It! Pictures to Prove It!
WORTH IT$3,000
That was quite an experience for me! I know that DES is considered to be one of the easiest cosmetic surgeries and improvements are minimal but for me it’s changed me a lot! If for most people DES – to create a crease for me it was more to make my eyes more symmetrical (looking at my before’s you’d understand what I’m talking about).
I know lot of makeup hacks to make eyes bigger or more or less same (glue, stickers and even lashes) but sometimes I go out with no makeup at all (wake up late or too lazy as doing makeup takes quite an amount of time every morning) and I have no plan b for such situations.
For DES there’s no better place than Korea (it’s my personal opinion and you may not agree it’s totally normal) so I searched a hospital according to b&a pics and the hospital I decided to go was Banobagi.
I emailed them few pics they responded with suggestions and prices (it was a bit higher than I expected but when it comes to my beauty I don’t act cheap even though it’s eyes and may be the simplest surgery I’d rather pay once and get perfect result than suffer from numerous revisions). I made a deposit (10% was around $300,000) and set my consultation and operation the same day (as didn’t want to waste time).
Both service, surgeon and staff met all my expectations as soon as I arrived there. Dr Lee was assigned as my surgeon. When we met at his office he measured my eyelids and suggested few crease height. Once we agreed on that I started to prepare for the surgery. I didn’t go through a complicated checkup (few things were explained before I came like no makeup or manicure/pedicure) and in few hours everything was over. I spent few more hours in the hospital with cold packs on eyes and left the same day. At first the crease seemed too high for me but I knew it was just because of swelling. I also thought that the shape of a crease was different (on my right eye it seemed rounder while on left more curved) but it also was due to swelling. I didn’t have bruising at all and recovery as well as healing went quite quick and smooth. On day 7 I came for stitches removal and the same day flew back home.
I think my eyes were swollen for good 4 weeks and in order to speed up the recovery I tried to walk a lot, keep my head high, don’t cry. Even though makeup was allowed 2 months after I was too afraid to touch the scar area up to month 4. It’s been 7 months already and I think my eyes are look good enough. Very symmetrical and creases are almost same. Glad I took that leap of faith!
