So it’s been 1.5 years since my surgery

and all I can say is that I regretted getting this surgery done more and more every day. Dr. Amadi has done me such disservice and I still can’t believe I paid 5 figures for such a botched result. I have not yet had any revision done as I wanted to see how my results settle, plus I need to have enough saving for a new surgery.

Beside the obvious asymmetry, my left eye (the right one in the photo) also has a inverted/flipped lash line that makes my eye rather irritable and dry everyday. Dr. Amadi said it will go away with healing - ok I’ve “healed” for almost 2 years and that’s just not an acceptable excuse anymore. You can see the bare skin that’s exposed below my lash line in the bigger eye on the right.

Please, for those of you thinking of getting an Asian Bleph from him, stay away. He also did not offer any sort of compensation, refund, or revision to me. What a disastrous experience for me.

3-month post op update

Many of you asked for a picture update, here it is. As expected, my crease got smaller,
pretty much touching my lash line and the middle is dipping more than the corners. It really felt like I got a surgery to just make my eyes smaller. Will be going to California for revision.

Previous review got cut off

I am not sure why my previous review was cut off so I will try to re-write the rest my review below.
Doctor Amadi originally mentioned that he personally prefers a smaller crease (less than 3mm) and an in-fold, to which I insisted that I would like a 4mm fold and an small out-fold style, since I wouldn’t choose to undergo surgery if I don’t want a slightly more noticeable result. Dr. Amadi agreed to my requests and I sent many pictures afterwards detailing the style of eyelids before the surgery.
The surgery day itself went smoothly. The issue started to arise when I started noticing that my eyelid was at 3mm at one-week post op, when it’s till VERY swollen, meaning that it will go down to be smaller as time goes on. I brought it up to Dr amadi but he insisted that I should wait and he can revise if it turns out to be too small. I waited for another week, and now at 2 week post op, my eyelid is at 1mm (see pictures) - yes, it’s smaller than my eyelid pre-surgery and everyone around me was asking what happened. Additionally, the middle of my eyelid essentially became a flatline and had a weird dip, to the point where it’s touching my lash line. Dr Amadi insists that I should wait to let things heal, but I know things will only look SMALLER with more healing, and I am honestly feeling a little depressed that everyone mentions my eyes are looking smaller and surprised I got surgery to enlarge my eyes...
While I understand this could potentially be revised and the doctor was perhaps being conservative, I do not understand why the discrepancy ended up being SO dramatic (1mm now vs 4mm requested) and make me hesitate to go back for revision work. I also have a lot of photoshoots and important events lined up in the coming months, assuming I would have healed from this surgery, and now I’m tempted to cancel everything as my eyes are looking so odd with the small, oddly shaped crease and revision work would add another few months.
Needless to say I’m deeply regretting the surgery and only wish the doctor carried out my vision as requested. While I understand surgery inherently has risks and the result may not always be exactly as expected, this difference between reality vs expectation is so big that it left me feeling anxious and depressed.
I’m obviously going to let my eyes heal more (as I don’t have a choice), but seeing now that my eyes are already looking smaller than before surgery, I’m not looking forward to the rest of this journey.
