Poor Outcome and Noticeable Scarring

I had both an upper and lower blepharoplasty, with the lower procedure involving fat removal. After I woke up from the anesthesia, Dr. Clariday decided to take me back into the operating room and perform a skin pinch procedure under my eyelids, something that was never discussed with me beforehand or consented to prior to surgery.

The incision under my right eye was placed well below the lash line, and the resulting scar is very noticeable and disfiguring. When I brought my concerns to Dr. Clariday, he told me the scarring was due to my skin color. However, the incision on my other eye was placed correctly under the lashes and healed much better, which makes the placement on the right side even more concerning.

In addition, too much fat was removed from my lower eyelids, leaving me with significant hollowness under my eyes. I now need a fat transfer procedure to correct the hollow appearance, which Dr. Clariday does not provide.

I have now spent more money trying to correct the scarring and hollowness than I originally paid for the surgery itself. This experience has been extremely disappointing and emotionally distressing.
