Below is my experience with Dr. Kim from "Thank You."
I first contacted Thank You through WhatsApp. It took a while for me to get a response, and I was advised that this was due to the peak season. For the online consultation, I sent them my photos and references of what I would like to achieve. Thank You then suggested procedures I should undergo and the prices for each procedure. I then booked a date for an in-person consultation and a surgery date.
**In-Person Consultation Day:**
Prior to meeting Dr. Kim, I had the pleasure of consulting with the clinic's consultant and Chloe, the interpreter. The consultant meticulously broke down the pricing options for the surgical procedures. Following our discussion, I had the opportunity to meet Dr. Kim. He provided insights into what was and wasn't feasible, as well as the various outcomes I could expect. He suggested three options for my eye creases and which option would suit me the best. I decided to proceed with my procedure at Thank You clinic. The confidence and reassurance I felt in Dr. Kim's abilities to address my eyelid concerns – including multiple creases and ptosis correction – were significant. It's important to note that online consultation could be different from in-person consultation, as the former is only a screening of what you might need.
**On the Surgery Day:**
The clinic provided clear instructions on pre-operative preparations, ensuring I felt fully informed and prepared.
On the day of the surgery, I arrived promptly at noon to finalize consent forms, detailing the risks of anesthesia and acknowledging potential outcomes. Dr. Kim marked the surgical areas and discussed the procedure with me, ensuring I was comfortable with the plan. The surgery itself, performed under local anesthesia and sedation, was surprisingly painless. Post-surgery, the attentive care in the recovery room, coupled with thorough post-operative instructions and medication, further underscored the clinic's dedication to patient comfort and well-being.
**One Month Post-Op:**
At one month post-op, while I still experience some residual swelling, the overall results are promising. I had fat-graft; however, I don't really notice the differences.
