Wonjin Plastic Surgery for DES and Fat Graft
$4,500
I had previous surgery at Wonjin 12 years ago and I was pleased. I recently learned the ownership had changed and the service all around reflected this. It was a very toxic environment and I wish I had walked out. I do not recommend anyone coming here AT ALL. I am glad they didn't totally botch my DES, however the surgeon put in minimal effort from the consultation to the end. I do believe that the weight of it all, depended on the translator who seemed to do the best she could, while the medical coordinator was condescending. She offered little explanation, and just stared blankly at me. It's like bare minimum from the staff there, minus the interpreter. My eye creases are actually lower and more hooded than before the procedure, like sitting on the lash line. I had asked for an outside line, or parallel crease, and it was even written down. I had to ask to see pictures, yet the consultation was extremely lacking. Yes, anatomy is considered, but even the incision lines are asymmetrical, with one side being shorter than the other, therefore, drooping on the outside. I then received lip injections from a female Dr. named Hwang Yoon Ju. This is when I knew this place was truly despicable. She did not listen to me, and ended up filling only one side of my lips, then emptied the syringe and walked out. She was on edge and took it out on me. She shortchanged me on the full 1cc. I know exactly what a full 1cc of Restylane looks like in my lips. She and the assistant were mocking me in Korean. At that point my stomach sank. I knew they were charging me as a foreigner 4-5 times what they charge a local. She was absolutely disrespectful to me because I am a foreigner and have little recourse. PLEASE Google Seoul Korea Plastic Surgery Complaints, and you will see the real articles. You will see that the Chinese Embassy put out a warning about botched surgeries in Korea, and that they take advantage of medical tourists. While that is just a blanket warning please take heed. I wish I had just done solid research, and stayed in the USA. You truly are taking a gamble. If you do go overseas, please take a recommendation from someone you know that has first hand experience, and please research the doctor, not only the clinic. Remember, you have to live with your face, not them.
