Dr. Goretti Ho is a remarkable surgeon with a keen eye for aesthetic perfection!
WORTH IT
Since this is my second eyelid surgery, I had a lot of scarred tissue so I did have more swelling occurring than normal.
Dr. Ho offered light therapy (LightStim) to help reduce inflammation and gave me a shot to reduce swelling.
What really impressed me was at every light therapy appointment, Dr. Ho greeted me and assessed my eyes making sure they were healing fine.
She took time out of her busy day to come check in on me EVERY SINGLE TIME I went in for light therapy which was almost every day during my week stay. Impressive!
She also was incredibly patient and understanding about my fear of needles and went above and beyond to make sure my recovery went as smoothly as possible.
Simply put:
Dr. Goretti Ho is a remarkable surgeon with a keen eye for aesthetic perfection.
Choosing the right doctor to perform my eyelid revision was exhaustingly difficult, but she made the choice easy!
I absolutely adore this doctor and am over the moon to have finally found the perfect doctor for my aesthetic needs :)
Once I fully heal and if I rememeber, I’ll update a before and after of my first/second eyelid surgery and the amazing revision she made.

Is light therapy included in the process or did you opt for the treatment separately?
Any updates? Would love to see photos of how they look now
Healing has been going very slow. I had my skin on the side of my eyes excised and the incision lines are still very visible. The redness hasn't gone down by much so it's definitely been a bit frustrating. I'm about 2 months post op. Dr. Ho said it'll take 6-9 months for the redness to go away fully.
Patience was always a virtue I had trouble mastering but nothing else I can do from here on out except to be patient
Thank you so much for your update! I'm still very early in my recovery but my eyes and area of incision look similar to yours. Would love to see updated photos if you're comfortable but no problem if you're not! I really hope the incision line and redness become less visible for you soon.
Edit: I'm actually almost 3 months post op haha I didn't even realize.
Sure I'll post a photo later. It's kind of hard to see the redness via photo since it's hard to get the lighting just right. But the incisions lines are still pretty visible. I'm not able to go out in public without concealer.
But you just have to remind yourself that the incision lines are temporary!
I was wondering why did the incision go so far out of the eye? I figured it would stop right at the outer corner of the eye?
To take some skin off so my eyelids don't look droopy. 6.5 months post op, incision scar is still there :(
Had one session of LaseMD + PRP done about a month ago to reduce scarring and now just waiting for that to take effect
It's very visible. I'm over 12 months post op and have to go in for a scar revision surgery. I'm one of the unlucky ones I guess.
I don't know about always. She's a competent surgeon. But the scars are definitely annoying. I wear my glasses 95% of the time cause I'm self conscious about the scars
Thank you for the suggestion. I'll ask my local dermatologist.

Finding a good doctor can be difficult but finding the right doctor to trust your face with is laborious and challenging especially when you’re seeking a revision.
I had double eyelid surgery done a year ago but felt unsatisfied with the results.
I went across hundreds of profiles of surgeons who specialized in Asian blepharoplasty and came across Dr. Ho’s profile and was quickly impressed with her before and after pictures as well as her reviews so I scheduled a consultation. I’m very picky with my doctors from my PCP to my dentist but Dr. Ho’s profile attracted me.
Being an out of state patient and this being my second eyelid surgery, I had a lot of nerves but her staff, Ella especially, was so accommodating and allowed me to schedule multiple consultations with Dr. Ho to ease my anxiety. I knew Dr. Ho’s time was precious so I was thankful at how kind and helpful both her and her staff was.
Dr. Ho has an impressive CV (graduated top 2% of her Cornell class!) and more importantly is a perfectionist so I knew I was in good hands. She addressed all of my concerns with patience and kindness. She immediately understood what I disliked about my eyes and was confident on how to fix them. I wanted a more noticeable appearance but not too dramatic and with any kind of plastic surgery, it’s hard to really know how you’ll look until you’re a couple months post op so all you can do is trust your doctor which is why finding the right doctor is the hardest part of this whole journey.
Day of the surgery, she took her time to measure and mark my eyes and again made sure all of my concerns and questions were addressed. Her surgery center was impressive. It looked like/was a real OR. Her OR was HUGE and had these beautiful surgical lamps on the ceiling. I wasn’t expecting that since my last surgery done by a different doctor, the procedure was done in a normal back room.
I have a low pain tolerance and metabolize anesthesia fast so the shots hurt like hell as well as the last couple of sutures placed in but Dr. Ho was understanding and made sure I was comfortable throughout the surgery.
Dr. Goretti Ho is kind, meticulous, intelligent, and an expert in what she does.
You’d be foolish to choose anyone else.
Once the swelling goes down, I’ll update.

Thank you so much for your review!
The recovery phase can be annoying but be patient and stay positive, it will look fabulous in no time :)
P.S. I actually went to Brown for both undergraduate and med school, not Cornell, not that it matters, both are great schools anyways :)
Can’t wait to see your final result!!!!
