Less than 2 weeks update

I've finally got around to getting some before and after. I can't remember if I mentioned but this was 5-6 litres taken which is the high end and I think the results already speak for themselves, they have honestly exceeded my expectations. I should also mention that I cannot say enough for the entire team at Cosmos, from the surgeons to Fernanda to the ladies managing the front of the surgery. I should explain on the afters I am only 2 weeks post surgery and the marks you are seeing on my skin are from wearing all the necessary post op dressings and corset full time except for 1 hour a day at this stage. Any questions please feel free to ask :)

Day 3

It is now early Monday morning after surgery on Friday and yesterday was a bit of a rough day, but not because of the surgery, to be honest my pain is minimal but because of the medication, I've never been good with them, the pain killers and the antibiotics made me vomit very soon after taking them. Dr Jospeph was available to talk to on his mobile and I have carried on taking lots of fluid to make sure I don't throw a temperature because I can't keep the medication down. Im not overly concerned as the after care has been wonderful (and my best friend is being a nurse checking on me with food and being so kind) and am going in to see Dr Joseph this morning to make sure he is happy with my temperature and if he feels I need to go on a drip at all.

I should mention I had a shower yesterday and followed the guidelines of taking things off very slowly lying down so as to not run the risk of fainting which I didn't and I am so so happy with the results despite the bruising and swelling I am amazed, just as soon as I have more of the before and after photos from the clinic I will post them here for you.

Again in terms of pain even though I stopped the pain killers because I couldn't keep them down I would say on a scale of 1-10 I am at a 2 - its just a very mild ache like I have done lots of ab crunches, if anyone has any questions please feel free to ask :)

My motivation was that I have never in at least 20...

My motivation was that I have never in at least 20 years been comfortable in a bikini or my underwear as II have always had a tummy and love handles. It has impacted so much of my enjoyment of things like trips to the beach, summer dresses and my general body confidence or lack there of.

I will keep adding to this as I go through my recovery.

I researched heavily using this site & also google reviews to find a surgery here in Sydney and settled upon Cosmos.

My initial consultation was back in October I think from memory and cost in the region of $200+. I met with Dr Joseph Ajaka, and explained my wishes and he in turn advised of what could be realistic results.

I booked in after the Christmas holidays and had my surgery yesterday 20th January. I wasn't especially nervous as the staff have a very easy going attitude and have made the whole process very easy. The day before I was given my corset garment and talked through what would happen on the day.

On the day of the surgery I was greeted by the loveliest nurse, Petra and Dr Joseph. Petra had the most amazing ability to calm my nerves. I was taken into surgery and because of having read the review of the 44 yo on here I made sure to take my music, although I dont think I even switched it on!

I should probably apologise in advance as I am writing this the day after surgery and on pain killers so I may need to edit but wanted to capture things as accurately as possible.

The surgery itself felt like it was about 5 minutes, and from speaking with Dr Joseph today it was closer to 2 hours. There were a couple of moments when I commented ouch, but that was fixed by taking on more gas. I dont really remember recovery at all, which I think was almost 2 hours too.

There was no pain and I was sent home with my corset and bandages in place.

I slept most of the night and only woke up to pee.

Today is first day after surgery and back there for my first review which was a massage everything went fine, there is of course a little discomfort but on a scale of 1-10 its about a 2-3 and the medication is working fine. I will keep adding to this day to day but so far very happy (and photos to follow)
