Hello Angie how are you? That was an interesting question you asked and it took me back to a lot of the hell I went through and lessons I learned. It had me contemplating a while lol - and after a little lag here is your reply. First up - I am really fussy and I had actually seen darryl for a few consults. Each time I was really disappointed with various aspects of his practice and staff (especially the practice manager/money collecting woman whom made you feel as if it was your privilege to be in her presence - when the whole thing should be about me as it's my consult and my appointment). But I put all that aside because I guess I was too nice and too trusting. One thing which I absolutely kick myself about now was the fact that I never questioned how he never went through any complications or the fact that he might not be able to do what he said he could. Throughout the few consults he was very dry/flippant and would just continually say he'd do a good job. Never was it suggested that anything could go wrong. He had a plan and it would get there - it was flatly suggested that it would be there. The only time any complications/and the fact that surgery is not always an exact science, was mentioned - was when it was listed in the legal documents you have to sign before the operation. I remember thinking that as he never mentioned any of these verbally - they would not happen at all. Also I was so incredibly stupid in my research and decision. I'd actually asked a random doctor about three plastic surgeons (one unfortunately having to be dr h) and she had said that all three must be good at their level. I stupidly believed that as it came from a doctor! Also I live in the eastern suburbs as well - and I had naively thought that as it is considered a good area - well dr h must be good as well. So incredibly stupid! I should also have looked up more sites like this back then! I have since looked up various sites for bad reviews - and I feel so bad for a lot of people out there that have become deformed and fobbed off by dr h. There are so many bad reviews out there and I hope people see them and notice the same lack of care each was given. He must have ruined a lot of lives. There are even specific websites dedicated to how poor and unethical his work is. How could I miss all this?!! Lastly I believed all the silly advertising - showcasing how he is skilled and lectures he gives and charity work he does. It's all rubbish to mask that he is a poor surgeon and nasty human being. I honestly hope that newer surgeons out there learn nothing from him - as he is not caring as a doctor should be. So that sums that up!
