I am a 35 year old mother of two. I have been going to the gym three to four times a week for seven years and am very committed to my health and fitness. After my first baby, my body shape generally returned to my pre-baby body. However, 3 years after my second baby, regardless of my gym routine, I could not shift the weight on my inner thighs particularly but also outer thighs and flanks. I did not think that I was overweight but I did feel that I had "heavy" thighs. I could not wear dresses and had to wear tops and skirts/pants because I was at least one whole size of not two sizes larger on the bottom than on top.
I considered surgery for about 18 months prior to actually doing anything about it. I had consultations with two doctors in other practices before I met Dr Hodgkinson. I had not felt at ease or confident with the initial two doctors. But after meeting with Dr Hodgkinson I was convinced he was the best and I booked and underwent my procedure only a few weeks later.
I liked Dr Hodgkinson's level of experience, his education, the fact he used an anaesthetist and had a proper registered and accredited surgery within his rooms. I had full faith that I was having the safest and best treatment - and I was not let down at all!
Dr Hodgkinson personally saw me for every consultation pre and post op which was important to me.
My husband travels for work a lot and I don't have a huge amount of support so one concern was the recovery time and how to manage the children and household during recovery. Dr Hodgkinson and his nurse Tania were very truthful and accurate about how recovery would go and about pain management. With their guidance my family barely skipped a beat.
In terms of the procedure, I could immediately see a drastic improvement in my shape, which has continued to improve as the swelling has gone down. I just bought a bikini and the top and bottom are the same size!!
I will go back for future treatments if I have any insecurities in the future. I highly recommend Dr Hodgkinson.
