6 weeks post op-
Well, not that I have been resting, but I had not been working out per say. Now I am back to working out for an hour in the gym and walking in the evenings outside. I also am wearing regular bras now..measured at a 34DD or a 36D..wowza! I still wear my garment, but not to sleep in. I like nekkid sleep..lol.
As soon as my incision is closed (SO close now!) I will be adding swimming to me list of things to do :) Today I bought a nice pop up canopy for the beach and next weekend we are going again! It is almost my birthday (happy 32nd to me!) on the 9th and I just want to pack lunch/dinner and hang out all day with friends and family. I am loving being able to work out and plan on 5-6 days a week. It is just part of my day now and it feels so good! I made turkey tacos tonight with spicy guac and whole wheat tortillas! yum! We are waiting for the sun to go down so we can go for our 4 mile family walk :) Hope everyone is feeling great and healing well!

Ok I'm almost 4 months and today my stomach on both sides of my bb is so sore that I had to take a pain killer, haven't done anything, but walk 4 miles a day, but been doing this for a while. It's like when I first had the tt done, tight and sore! Anyone else had this?

July 2, 2012
Yes it did, I really think it is gas, my stomach swelling and it's putting so much pressure on my abdomen that it hurts!!

July 2, 2012
Goodness! Try some ginger tea to ease the gas. It works wonders! I hope it stops soon.

Yay! You posted more pics and they look awesome! I also finally went swimsuit shopping the other day and never in a million years would I have ever imagined it would be something I actually enjoyed! You're results are looking good! Happy healing!

Thank you! Hopefully in another 6 weeks it will be even better! Back to working out an hour a day and walking 4 miles a night :)

Hi! You're looking awesome! Thank you for your compliments! Isn't swimsuit shopping so much more fun now!? :) I started running at 3 weeks PO. Soon after I strained a muscle, rested for some time and then started back at it again 10+ days later. I was doing great and then strained another muscle and took a week off. Then, I started back slow (every other day), and before you knew it, I was back to daily running. I was SO determined to get back out there as I was feeling jiggly and non-muscular too. It happens so quick, but the great thing is that you can build muscle very quickly too! Happy continued healing!

Right now my joints are still telling me 'no running' (thank you UC..boo) However, I have been doing incline walking for 20 minutes, elliptical 20 minutes, and bike 20 minutes, then walking 4 miles in the evening :) I am sure in another 6 weeks, it will be even better pics too! Thank you and I loved reading your story!!

5 weeks post-op.
OK, I have to say it has been a rough week. I put on my happy face as usual, but man oh man...
So first they took the drain out. That evening I got really swollen, then it went away and I got a fever/chills/pain in left calf. Doc sent me to ER to make sure no blood clot. There was not, so he gave me antibiotics and some lortab again. The split in my incision is now more like a hole. He gave me ulcer 'stuffing'. Basically it is special padding to dry up the wound and get it to close up...something it still have not done. I am due for my period, so I think that is part of my discomfort too.
Also, I was an idiot and thought I was superwoman..again. I took my son and three of his friends to the zoo in Montgomery for the day yesterday. It was a two hour drive there and back, plus we spent 7 hours walking around there. I did rent a stroller to carry the bags and stuff, but I was WHOOPED! I took a couple of muscle relaxers and slept hard. I feel pretty good, but have some sore muscles today. I was in the heat all day. And today is my husband's family day, so we will be on the hot flight line for hours today. Supposed to be 95 degrees. I am doing a tank and shorts, but I feel swollen. I am in a medium garment though, so I cannot be as swollen as I think right? I just figured I would be farther along in the healing process by now. In other good new my boobies look amazing and the right has dropped completely and the left is not far behind!

OK, I promise to post more pics this weekend. I am REALLY swollen again after a 7 hour zoo/museum trip and 2 hour drive both ways. It was a long and exhausting day.
June 22, 2012
why don't you rest? maybe that's why you are taking so long to heal properly? at least you have no drains anymore right? ...hope everything gets better....

June 24, 2012
I definitely know this. I do. I swear I do. I suck at sitting still. I went to bed at 8 last night and slept until 7 this morning. I am resting at night, just not during the day. He said I was doing fabulous, just developed a seroma which was out of my control. He did say I was lucky that I actually was active because then when I start working out, I won't swell as much! I am planning on doing more photos in the morning before swelling takes place! lol

June 22, 2012
Your drains are so out so that is a positive!! Hopefully you will have the opportunity to rest and put your feet up this weekend!! Good luck. Healthy and happy healing.

June 24, 2012
It is a positive and thank you! I slept really well last night and we had a great get together tonight. I indulged in a small glass of blackberry wine, but nothing else! I made pulled pork, no mayo coleslaw, and light mayo broccoli salad. I am feeling like my energy level is going up, but when I am tired, I am tired. I am healing up (the split) and my scars and pleats are fading away nicely! I can hardly wait to get back to gym too!
