My insurance approved me today & I'm so excited...

My insurance approved me today & I'm so excited !!! I'm so happy this has been something I've longed for as long as I can remember. I currently am a sz 40 DDD which is not comfortable or appealing to me at all. I'm so ready for my clothes to fit properly especially my work uniforms. I want to see myself in regular size bras like most women..

Oh wow this is amazing you're never going to believe this but Dr Owen has been my surgeon for a long time I LOVE HIM ... BUT I was going to let him do my BR but he insited I needed a FNG and I know better I've done lots of research and I know that it's not needed unless very extreme circumstances. .Anyway here is the VERY VERY VERY WEIRD PART

so I shopped around and had some consults I went to Dr Nunnery down in PC who agreed with me on the idea that no FNG was needed but he said check around in dothan it's better to do it near home, I saw Dr mockler whom I also love and has done great work on me also ( I've had extensive reconstructive surgery on my nose due to a disease process Owen and mockler both worked on it and both did great work and neither could have fixed it without the others work) anyway last month I saw Dr Baker in dothan who agreed no FNG and does thr type pedicle I want ( superior medial )
OK heres the kicker .. my surgery is the same day as yours in the same hospital no doubt cause I know Owen uses flowers ..haha Monday was 3 weeks right the 23rd? So crazy I mean just crazy
Hey aren't thr girls in Owens office so pretty ? You can tell they cash in on where they work I don't blame them ..lol I been in a few PS offices Owen by far has the prettiest staff .. anyway so did he plan to do a FNG on you ? If so tell him when you see him for pre op that is if you want to cause this is what I had talked to him about .. most Dr's at least attempt an anchor then if you start to loose blood supply they can convert to a FNG .. nunnery said this is the best way and he is THE boob guy in Panama city .. probably would have used him but baker is a member of the plastic surgery aesthetics association or whatever it's called plus has excellent reviews and was 1000 cheaper cause he is in dothan .. and plus my surgery wasn't covered by insurance. . Truth by told if Dr Owen had nit insisted I need a FNG I would have paid him the extra 1500 he charges just cause I know him . But no sense in worrying about it now .. Dr Owen is a good Dr he is a sweet man I love him to pieces if it were not for Dr Owen I'd still have a nose totally collapsed on the right side he is great .. maybe I'll run into you in holding . And hey if he planned a FNG just a suggestion but what I said and he agreed to do it was " Dr Owen will you at least try an anchor " he was real nice said he'd try it .. plus you might be different than me he might not even be planning it on you .. good luck and oh if he hasn't mentioned it don't let my stupid rambling worry you if he hasn't said it he isn't planning it .. good luck .. by the way who's your insurance? Is it BCBS of Alabama ? They told me they'd be easy but I have anthem BCBS which requires more weight removed (628-575 grams for me depending on what day it is and how much I weigh )

Oh yeah another weird thng. . We are he same exact bra size 40DDD. . WEIRD HUH ?it's like I'm reading my review in an alternate universe. .lol

Ok sorry I'm just seeing your review but I do believe he did suggest the FNG which I don't want either & will def mention that at my next pre op which is on the 12th..I have Anthem as well !!!

Well yiu can go to their website .. there are some quite a few actually but it'd hard to a if they were his or feign .. but as many as are there surly some are his and they all look pretty good .. just do a Google search for feign and Owen before and after or go to their website I've looked at them and they look pretty good

Oh wow you have anthem too ? You're the first person I've met around here with anthem .. your husband doesn't work for APAC does he ? Lol ok probably not ..well they said I won't meet weight requirements which is strange since we are the same bra size but then your body surface area might be less than mine . So many variables I'm just glad we were able to pay for it I've needed it for a long time .if you're like me you're to the point you don't care what they have to do long as they do the surgery. . Dr Owen goes by the old suggested standard of I think 35 cm from thr nipple to your eternal notch if there is more distance ue if we have more droop which I did by 1 cm. Anyway over that means FNG by the suggested standards but most doctors are getting away from that now . I guess like nunnery said it just makes sense to try it and if blood flow is lost graft the nipple there is nothing to lose everything to gain . But each Dr has experience and good results different ways . You'll really like Dr owen he has not worked on my boobs but on my face and that's major I trust him . You'll be fine and plus if you're as miserable as me you can't wait .. shoot at one point I was ready to tell dr m Owen just do it even if it is going to be too much off . He said if I wanted too but he was worried because I'm a tall it would make me a B cup but I was about to .. actually come to think of it I'm still waiting to hear back from them on something .. one of mine is lots bigger than the other so a while back they requested to do thr large one and let me self pay the other one . That was about the first week of last month I haven't heard from them yet . Of course doesn't matter now .. hey how long did it take anthem to approve you ? Man tha makes that even more weird you don't lI've in elba do you ? Lol

No I actually live in Ga. & I'm not married..it took Anthem about a week the receptionist told me it round take 4wks but that was a lie only of they mail in your paperwork I told her to fax my paperwork and that I know she could because I called to check..well she didn't like that one bit but oh well..once I knew my paperwork was faxed I started to call the preotherisation dept myself..they told me once the paperwork is received it only takes 24-48 hrs for a decision..

Yeah that a what PA told me too just a few days long as they have everything. Olivia told me she faxed mine off jump but anthem said they never got it. The last 2 times they denied it but it did take like 6 weeks Olivia kept saying it was anthem that they are just bad about not responding when I got my nose done the first time it took forever . Dr Owen requested approval for reduction he knew anthem would reject both times which is kinda why I know so mu h about it I been at this for years . I finally came to the conclusion they didn't want me approved and I kinda don't blame them now that I know insurance pays a fraction of what they charge very little maybe less than half . It's funny you're coming all the way here I was actually gonna go up to snellville there is a great Dr there I really wanted to use him actually but my Papas fell sick with lung cancer he has to have chemo and radiation so I can't go that far away for preop surgery and post OP . Plus when I finally found out I was gonna for sure pay cash he was like 3 grand more .Dr stephenson is his name he is on here. I likedhim cause all I SSid was send an email for a consult appointment with a question and the Dr called me himself . Well he didn't dial it but his reception called me and put him on to me . I was floored being a nurse well I dont work anymore but I know drs and that right there speaks volumes he cared and I had never givehim a dime . Wish I coulda went to him but Dr Baker is good too . Olivia Dr Owens assistant used to be lots nicer than a he is now . might just be me though I had still been seeing him some but if she didn't send my insurance thing off the only reason I'm gonna see him is to go show him my boobs lol . Then tell him ifOlivia hadn't kept screwing up my PA he might have got to do them . I'm just kidding .. it's not his fault . It's weird but doctors are like movie stars in a way they need handlers someone to protect them from the public and tell them everything to do . That is except when it comes to treating and seeing patients but we used to even have to tell ours what room they were to go in next and they don't even know their own fees

I hear this survey is the most satisfying surgery out of all they do . Women are almost alwayshappy . Even if slight asymmetry or they turn out a little small or a little big they are still pleased because it's a millions times better than it was . And most boobs are asymmetrical anyway . I know mine are big time . So it's not uncommon to he a little imperfect one tad bigger than the other but usually they are closerto the same than they were . In ecstasy Dr Owen said all along iif Mt left was as big as my right insurance would have paid a long time ago .. Well in reality he said they would pay but to take thatmuch would make me very small . So I was like can't we just get anthem to pay for the bigger one .. he said great idea and that was like Jan 3 .. haven't heard anything since Olivia said she was faxing it that day .. lol its ok I'm glad I believe in God so I decided to stop pressing to get it covered . Figured God was telling me I was going the wrong way . So Dr nunnery said to do what insurance requires would be a mastectomy on me .. shew sure glad I didn't go with that lol .. that's also what Dr B said they said 300 grams is what I need so I'm happy . Your breasts look fuller than mine . Mine have gotten deflated with age and gaining and losing weight . You're going to look and feel great just read the reviews for BR women are almost always thrilled with their new breasts .. I'm happy for you and glad you're going to be in flowers with me . You gotta come the 12th ? Maybe I can drive over and buy you lunch then we will recognize each other on surgery day .. that's if you want to . You might have to hurry back or have people with you or something . Well we will talk in private . Just don't let anything stress you out this should be a happy time and I pray anything I said hasn't made you anxious . Think good thoughts imagine how great you're gonna feel and look :)
