WORTH IT$32,000

Although I had a minor complication I would still do the surgery again. I have always had weight issues my entire life and this was the only solution that has allowed me to maintain my weight for a long period of time. Otherwise I was gaining weight every year exponentially. I lost about 76 pounds in total but never actually used my tool (smaller stomach) and ate as normal. I would have had a more successful rate had I followed the strict diet regimen.

Hi there, welcome and thanks for sharing your journey with us.

Congratualtions on your weight loss! So, are you still able to eat all of the foods that you could before? Do you not suffer from Dumping Syndrome, or any of the side effects?

Would love to see a before/after photo, if you have any you feel comfrotable sharing!

Hello Kirsty, sorry for the ultra late response. I am rarely on this website. Thank you for congratulating me. I do eat all foods the same as before just get fuller faster. Occasionally I also get dumping syndrome frm eating foods in high sugar content or high in carbohydrates such as rice, pasta and bread. I try to avoid eating those as much as possible because the feeling is unappealing and uncomfortable. I have now updated my before and after photos. Currently seeking an expert doctor who can perform tummy tuck and possible breast lift in Atlanta. I am looking for a doctor that could help me achieve my goals. Thanks for replying.

Keep going lady, you're lookin good..!!!I had mine in 2004 also and I lost 105 lbs. I am now having my stomach fixed due to severe pain every time I eat. I eat roughly 300 to 500 calories daily due to the pain and I have lost almost 30lbs in two months (which is not the way to do it). My stomach looks like the top of a candy cane per my surgeon and thinks that is what causing my pain. This time it will be done laparoscopic. So wish me luck in getting rid of my pain.

I went for consultation with Dr Patricia Yugeros which she is an amazing doctor as of Nov. 2014. She took her time to explain everything to me. I finally got my pannicolectomy approved through my insurance Cigna. Then I decided it was go time for the rest of the surgeries needs. I had breast lift with implants, lipo of the flanks (hips and sides) , pannicolectomy removed and full tummy tuck. The first night of recovery was pretty rough. I was in severe pain and the next day I didn't really eat a lot so I passed out at the hospital. They called "code red" since I passed out but thankfully the nurses were there to help me up and they checked my vitals. I had to get two bags of blood transfusion since I had lost so much blood. The next day I was still in pain but better and Dr Yugueros came to talk to me and told that I was just weak and normal. She was so understanding and her care for her patients shows. Then the third day I finally went home. Today is the 4th day post op. I can move and walk around hunchback but the pains have subsided significantly. I have the binder on and will see my doctor this Thursday to get my old binder removed and gauzes taken out. So far so good, this is a very painful procedure. It is not for the faint of heart. But I know in a few weeks I will see the results. I can't wait to see my new body. Here are photos of my current situation. I will keep you guys posted.

I wake up in the wee hours of the morning to urinate since I am drinking so much water. Every time I wake up, my throat is hurting from the oxygen machine they put inside my esophagus. I putting Vicks vapor rub inhaler to see if it will help. I am also checking how many CC's of blood come out of my dual drains. Seems that the left side is always taking out more than the right. The first three days they were dark red, then bright pink and now they light pink. I have my follow up appointment this Thursday (2 days) If we don't count today. They called to check up on me yesterday and I told them I am much better, especially since I had 3 small bowel moments. Took me 4 ex-lax chocolates and two prime juices to get me going. What a relief that was finally feeling more settled. I can move around more although my breasts, sides of my hips and my wound at the bottom still hurts. Oh yeah, forgot to mention waking up with phlegm is no joke! If hurts too much or coughing to even laughing because you are putting pressure into your wounds on your abdomen. Boy am I glad Dr. Yugueros gave me a pump that releases medicine to my abdominal cavity! She has been so supportive in beyond me, in order to achieve a successful surgery. I am forever grateful. In 2 days I get to my doctor again and finally see my new body. I know I am still very bruised and swollen all over still but overall may see some of the results. See you in two days. I will post more photos 'till then.
