How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

Round 3 Scheduled

Hi ladies,
FYI Unless you are already at your optimum weight and need minor sculpting, there is a high likelihood that you will need a second round. I thought I was going to be "one and done". NOPE. I gained way to much weight before round 1, and Dr. Almonte did not give me the hips that I asked for:( Sooooo, I will be having my third round (Yes you read right, as I got my breasts done by Dr. Mariam Awada in March. I'm not ready to review yet, as some days I'm really happy and others I feel that they may have dropped a bit too much, so I will wait and review. ) August 8, 2018 which will be almost exactly 1 year after my first round. I will begin a new review on the Doctor that I chose for Round 2: Dr. Marcos Soto. So for now this is the end of this narrative. To be continued on a new review.

Coming home from the DR to 4 Month Post Op

Trip home from the DR sucked. Flight was delayed, which caused me to miss my flight home from Florida. It was a horrible night being that I was 14 days post op:( Glad that I had wheelchair service, and that some kind people decided to help me.
From 3 weeks to 2 months post op, it was hard. I had a seroma and ended up with a second drain being placed in the ER. I don't blame Dr. Almonte, as this is very common and over 30 percent of people that have major surgeries of this type end up with seromas. I ended up having the second drain in for several more weeks and as soon as I had it taken out got another seroma. NOT fun! I got the seroma drained a couple of times and it finally flattened after a week.
From 2 - 3 months I started feeling more normal again, but I was still experiencing a lot of swelling especially above my bellybutton. At 3 months I started wearing my faja/waist cincher only during the day.
At 4 months post op I still do not regret my surgery and for the most part like my results a lot. I do have some swelling in my upper abdomen that may be an encapsulated seroma, or residual fat, or muscles that may not have been tightened enough. I am usually the only one that notices it, and my family thinks that I'm being way too picky. Hopefully a plastic surgeon that I have an appointment with can shed some light on exactly what it is soon, because it is important for me to get it taken care of.
Dr. Almonte and her entire staff are amazing, they are responsive and communicate with me from afar. I am considering a round two and will 95% likely going to go back to Dr. Almonte. I've attached pictures of 1 day pre op compared to 4 months post op. I've also included pictures of 4 months post op enhanced to what I would like for round 2.

Quick Update

Went through with it, and I am glad I did. I'm just recovering right now, it really does take a lot out of you. I will post new videos on youtube and update on here soon, but it will probably be a few more weeks at least as I recover and juggle getting back into my routine. I did want to write a quick update in case anyone was wondering what happened to me , I used to worry about girls after they appeared to just disappear after their surgery.
