Home sweet home

I ended up going home with the drainage still in. My doctors advised me how to remove it when it is time and of course Is still have the option of returning to DR to remove it. I am excited to be home with family way less stressful. I am still not standing straight but my scar is healing beautifully . Breathing is a lot better as well. I al still waiting on my 2nd stage faja to come in the mail. One thing I look forward to is a shower very soon????

Admitted to the ER

Okay so I was hoping I would not have to write this type of review... so my breathing has been really bothering and more at night. So tonight I demanded that someone explain my vitals to me being that neither of us spoke each others language. Another patient (who just arrived this evening) translated for me that my vitals were within normal and what I said I saw was not correct. Being who I am we went back and forth for a couple minutes then they finally said they would send the vitals to the house doctor. A few minutes later he called and spoke to me and said that he agrees that my vitals were not improving and not where should be at. He immediately had the driver take me to the ER for observation. I was so dehydrated that they could not find a vein for IV So they recommended a blood transfusion! I cried like a baby and told them to just give me water and find a vein, lol! Anyways after beating me for a vein and sticking me multiple times they were successful (thank you Jesus). So all in all I am dehydrated, low oxygen and Hemo. I say all this to say that this is tough ladies its not a game. The recovery is serious! I have heard stories and know people that went through this but never imagined it was this tough. Honestly if I knew what I know now I most likely wouldn't have went through with this. Not trying to discourage anyone but do your research folks! When you are not sure ask questions and dont settle. I did for the beginning but when its not changing I need another opinion. This my life and I have to take care of me, I refuse to be a statistic. Anyways I am in God's hands and I know I will be fine just tonight frustrated me. I wanted to share with you all and hope my reviews help someone.

Before and after

Okay so Here is how it went for me. I flew in to SDQ (Santo Domingo) was met by the driver who took me straight to the hospital for blood work. When I got to Cicip they assigned me a private room and was told I would be sleeping there for the night. My hemoglobin had declined to 11.7 I was shocked but they ended up doing a manual count which it came back as 12.0. My hemo was higher but because I had just ended my cycle the day before I had lost a substantial amount of blood. And of course this limited what the doctor was going to perform. The next morning I met Dr. Almonte and Lesly who greeted me with a big hug! She looks so young and beautiful! She told me she was not going to do my upper back because she afraid I would lose too much blood. My hemo was too low. She would try to do some of my thighs depending on the bleeding. She ended up giving me money back as well. I felt very confident with Dr. Almonte and God on my side. So anyways I was probably the last patient because it felt like forever. I started to panic and started crying when they finally told me to get dressed for surgery. Everything just got real then, lol! Dr Almonte ended up coming back in to see me again she hugged me and comforted me. Then Mabel, her other assistant came as well. They were very pleasant towards me. Finally the blue pill... lets say it did absolutely nothing for me, maybe because I was nervous. Anyways went into the operating room and was sitting on the table when the ladies prepping me and thats all I remembered. I woke up in my room around 2 am and touched my stomach. Yep I did it! I was still in disbelief.! Later that day Raquel came to clean me up to prepare me for the RH. I changed my RH to New life at the last minute and they were fine with the change. I got very sick when I got in the car on the way to the RH they had to let me out of the car and Rested in the lobby for a while. The ride there seemed like forever and the worse part of this whole experience. It was not the driver I was just very sick the whole ride there. The staff at the house are very welcoming. It was like I had returned home from a long vacation ????!!! The home is very clean and modern. Some speak english and some do not. Not many patients here Right now. Last night was very hard for me because I could not breathe normal. I was told this is from the muscle repair. I did not sleep at all and required a lot of assistance, it was very scary for me. Everything I do is exhausting. Although I have been up walking I have to walk bent over because of the TT, it is exhausting. Going up and down stairs make me very dizzy. Other than that I can say I feel any any real pain just soreness, stiffness and the trouble breathing. This is only day 2 in the RH I will update you all on that.
