Where do I begin to elaborate his greatness? I've had surgery before on my body in Colombia and now I decided to get a rhinoplasty. I was undecided of either Colombia or DR. Although Colombia has more doctors who are good with facial surgery. Colombia turned out too expensive. Sx itself wasn't so bad, it's the flight and stay that'll get you. Turns out I have points with Jetlblue and was able to pay for taxes only on my flight to DR. Next step was to choose the right doctor and I was very meticulous since it's my face. DR doesn't have that many doctors who do facial sx. Thanks to reaself, I narrowed it down to three doctors. I narrowed my decision to the following, reviews on RS, credentials, photos, communication, and price. Dr. Caputo won! From the moment I contacted him via WhatsApp, I knew he was the one. I felt like I was chatting with someone I know and he was extremely responsive and understanding of what I wanted. I sent him my pictures from all angles for his reviewal. He superseded my expectations in all levels! I arrived on a Monday which was a holiday there. My consult with him was Tuesday and that same day someone from the lab went and met me at his office and withdrew blood. The lab sent him my results and all were good. I also asked him to send them to me for my records as well which he did. I explained again what I wanted in person and he said I'm a good fit for a rhinoplasty. He took pictures of me with his camera and we looked at it on his computer and I explained what I wanted and he was clear on it. I liked the fact that never did I feel rushed with him so that was a big booster and he knew exactly what I wanted. The next day I arrived at 7am at Plastimedic which is where he performs sx. It was a breeze. Nice place. You pretty much arrive and tell them you're having sx then they let you in your recovery room and you change into your sx garments. I believe my sx was at about 11am. They had a sx happening then I went next. I was relaxing watching tv. No nervousness at all. Maybe cause I've had sx before. But my health was good so that helps a lot too. The cardiologist also came while waiting and everything was well. Then the last two people to come in where the doctor which he marked me up and the anesthesiologist. I got my "blue pill" given to me by the nurse which is standard to relax you and by the time I knew I was knocked out cause they had put in the IV in me. Woke up back in the recovery room so I never saw the operating room. The doctor whatsApped my sister in a group chat I had created since I went to get sx alone. I had hired a private nurse who was also in the group chat and she was already there when I was done with sx. I had no pain when I woke up just discomfort since I couldn't breathe through my nose. I don't want to bore anyone. But essentially, I came back to the states 11 days after sx. I'm almost 4 weeks post-op. All is going great. Still swollen of course. Key to rhinoplasty is patience. I see a slight difference already. I'll be posting picts once I see a significant difference. People can't tell I did anything which is great. I saw picts of right after sx and my nose looked amazing! So it'll be a process for that to happen since I'm swollen. I didn't give the doctor a 5 star only because I'm not done healing and I haven't seen my final result but I'm sure I'm going to change it to a 5 star and I'll post pictures probably 3-6 months post-op. As of now, I tape my nose when I'm home to help with swelling. Again, Dr. Caputo exceeded my expectations!
