Hi hun. I went with tania 3 weeks ago, she is very nice, so is the clinic and staff, they checked on me constantly. My single criticism is that it didn't really feel informed of what was going on, had it not been for realself I would have been lost! I was so scared it was unreal, but surgery is as normal as childbirth to everyone at the clinic so it calms you slightly lol. Where are you staying? 'My home' looked great. Oh and tanias driver is great don't worry x
February 11, 2015
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I'm schedule for surgery on April 6th. Can you explain a little about you not feeling informed? Do you like to outcome of your surgery?

I just felt like I wasn't listened to or told what was really happening, language was an issue with everyone but tania tania. I didn't like my results at first, tania told me I would love it and I do now, I had little fat to work with and she made it work, my breasts are healing well and looking good, perfect size! I was well taken care of and the clinic was clean and modern modern. I over packed by Alot lol
February 12, 2015
Why didn't you like your results at first? And can you tell us exactly what we need to carry?

Because tbh my butt was really flat and not very tight and I didn't have much fat to fill it lol. this also meant I needed aggressive liposuction so the swelling was bad, as it goes down I can see a smoother, rounder shape and I love my hips! The surgeon can only use what u have so I mabey should have been more realistic, be assured, I'm very confident that once swelling goes down I will love my results. Tania is a very good surgeon. And the clinic looks like the pictures pictures. I used (out of my 1 million things) Maxi pads, loads for padding. I didn't have a drain btw. Antibacterial soap Arnica gel and tablets. Paracetamol Tramadol Iron and vitamin c (included in men's you buy) Insect repellent Bromeline Washcloths and lots of wet wipes Snacks/herbal tea. Water from the supermarket Tight t-shirts (one a day) for under garment. Maxi dresses and a cotton cardigan to cover garment straps ect. Slip on shoes My blanket (fleece through over) was my lifeline (I used it everywhere!) 2 inflatable wedges for leg/back support and a neck pillow That's probably it! Tania changes dressings so I.didn't need all that and most things you can't take/use after surgery. But you may want a stool softener just incase and a she wee (I just hovered even though I had one) Tip small ( about 500 pesos for really good service) 200 for small things, which btw most taxis (if needed) will cost. Translater app if you don't speak Spanish. You can get a good exchange rate at the banks, they all have the same rate, government set but make sure your cards are set up for there banks. In theory you could take surgery money out over there, but it was abit complicated and you may incur possible issues. A small side bag or similar and keep everything simple,no jewellery or flashy things because it's unnecessary. The malls are more expensive than home, but there are some good markets ( haggle prices like your life depends on it lool) look to pay about half what your told! Think that's about it! Oh and I got told I had to do a hernia repair before liposuction (extra $1000) which really threw me so if you're just having liposuction, check if you have one first.

Aaliyah4040... did you feel like you were in any danger treeline and being DR? I've been reading some things other women have to say and on of them advise us not to go to DR but she haven't been there herself. So please if you can tell us if you felt unsafe..

In all honesty I felt like I should be cautious but not unsafe, except the fact I was so far from home having an operation. I did travel with a male so it made it easier. Everything to do with tania was safe, driver, staff ect, they keep you out of possible danger. The language barrier is the most 'unsafe' part, but the driver speaks near perfect English and will advise you. It's no more dangerous than certain parts of the western world. Just keep travelling alone to an absolute minimum and listen to your instincts. It's also a precaution to not act scared or flashy, learn how to say no thank you ect and don't engage in unnecessary conversation. I had all the local hospitals and embassy names and numbers and sent every address and number and where it would be on a particular day to members of my family. To answer directly, I don't feel it's unsafe.
