I'm feeling really good now! I've been able to sleep on my side for a week or so -- thank goodness because I was not sleeping well in one position all night long! I've never been a back sleeper so that part of the recovery process was very difficult!
I'm starting to exercise again, and have started power walking 3 miles. I'm hoping to start jogging again this week. The bruises are all gone, although I'm still a bit tender along my sides and upper shoulders from the lipo. And, the spot where the epidural was inserted is still very sensitive. My doc said I could cut off the protruding ends of all my dissolvable stitches, so now all I have is my scars which are completely closed. I've started putting silicone strips on them to help fade them more quickly.
My big disappointment with this surgery is that I was really hoping to get rid of all the stretch marks on my stomach, and that didn't happen. I had a few tiny ones above my belly button prior to surgery, and now that the skin has been pulled down and pulled tight, they are much longer and are between my belly button and my pubis. My doc prescribed a cream that is supposed to help fade them. I sure hope that works!
Lastly, my stomach is still a bit swollen. I know that is to be expected, but I'm anxious to see myself completely flat. I'm not a patient person! :)
Even without a flat stomach, I know the swelling has gone down a lot since leaving the Dominican Republic. When I left, my size small faja was on the 2nd row with foam boards on my sides only. I added a foam board to my front and was wearing the faja on the 3rd row, so my Mom took the faja in by sewing a 1.5 inch seam up the back. Well, I'm now on the 3rd row again, so will be asking my my to sew it one more time! I've lost 2.5 inches on my waist since pre-surgery. My hip measurements seem to be the same which make sense because I didn't have a BBL. My weight is also the same, which actually means I did lose weight because I'm sure my BA added some weight up top. :)
Overall, I'm still very pleased with my decision to go to the Dominican Republic to have surgery with Dr. Australia Fragoso Baez.

Was your stay at Yasmine house okay? I was reading negative things about it. Please let me know i was going to book with her.
I would definitely recommend Yasmin! She not only speaks English, but is a kind, caring individual. Room was super clean, food was good. Nurse comes twice a day and if you need anything in between those times, Yasmin is willing to help.
I saw the one bad review of Yasmin on here prior to my decision to book with her. I decided it was a unique situation and that I would give her a chance. I'm really glad I did! Think you will be happy if you choose her!!!!!!
Best wishes!!! Keep Us posted on your healing process Prayers for quick recovery and Hopefully I got next still undecided ...

Stuff I didn't use... And items I needed more of
Wish I would have had more body wash cloths, antibacterial wipes and should have brought a towel (recovery house assumed i had one), and baby powder with me to put in my hair between washings! Was also really glad I had earplugs.... Roosters crow early in the morning and they allowed me to have quiet for napping any time of the day.

The place you had your surgery was it nice? Did you take any pics there? I wish you happy healing and I will be thanking your review :)
BrinaaPink,
The place I had my surgery was clean and comfortable. As far as answering your question whether it was nice or not I guess it depends what you're comparing it too. If you plan to come here and expect USA conditions you're fooling yourself. I will say that the place I had surgery was probably less updated than CIPLA. But I also got really really good care post op. I heard that the night nurses at CIPLA do not give you very good care. So all in all I am happy that I had my surgery here instead of at CIPLA. I will post pic of my private room at clinic/surgery. Many ladies at CIPLA share post op room.
No I'm not expecting USA FDA approved at all. I was just wondering if it was clean enough to make a person feel comfortable with getting their stomach cut open and sliced from hip to hip. I'm thanking of going with this doc and just wanted to know what I would be getting myself into. Thanks for your reply I truly appreciate it I know it takes a lot for you lady's to come back to RS and answer questions after surgery.
I'm scheduled with Dr. Baez, I haven't read anything negative about her place, it's pretty much safe. She only operate on you if your healthy. She is not money hungry like some other doctors. BrinaaPink if your considering Baez, you made a great decision.
Awe thanks I really want to go with her she is at the top of my list. I can't wait to start my own review but I'm not planning on my surgery until next year.
For now research and more research lol
Please !!!where is photo of butt and way did u move from hostel sanfrancisco?
Alwayswantedabooty,
If you read my blog above, you'll notice I did not have a BBL, so no booty shot needed. I moved from hostal San Francisco because I had already booked a recovery house (Yasmin's) for my post op care. I only needed a place to stay the day prior to surgery.
happy healing what did you have done
