Hey Y'all from deep South Mississippi!! So as...

April2020
Hey Y'all from deep South Mississippi!! So as 2018 is drawing near, I have decided to take the plunge and do something for myself. 2017 has been a phenomenal year and I anticipate 2018 to be even better! I am 47 years old and I met the love of my life through online dating (yes, online dating) towards the end of 2016 and I am currently planning the wedding of my dreams. We will be married in March of 2018!!! So, in 2017, I was courted and treated like the Queen I am, my youngest child (son) graduated high school and started college, my oldest (daughter) graduated college and gave birth to my first grandchild (he is a boy, and he's perfect, and when he was in the hospital they wrapped him up in that swaddler thing and he looked like a little burrito so that is his name from me--my little Burrito), I was proposed to (and happily accepted), and I've been planning a wedding! Whew! 2017 has been a blast so why stop the party now. So on the horizon for 2018--Get married and have a fab honeymoon, continue living a dream life, go to Essence Festival for a Girls Trip, and start classes working towards my doctorate degree and.....decide, book, and start my body transformation!! It's all so exciting and surreal.
Like so many others here in RS land, I have done the mommy thing and worked hard to pursue education, work to support my kiddos, work to get my s% together and get mentally, physically, and emotionally healthy. None of that has been easy. I have struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember and traveled to Mexico in 2014 for gastric sleeve surgery. I lost 70+ pounds and have maintained my weight within a 5-10 pound range since then. As far as my "lifestyle" is concerned, I go back and forth between getting it in and being dedicated to exercise to being less than motivated to get up and walk to the mailbox! But no matter how dedicated I am to good nutrition and exercise and no matter how much weight I lose, I still have an unsightly looking body!! Now, with a good bit of hardware and some clothes, I clean up alright, but in cute skimpy thangs or in my birthday suit.....IT AIN'T PURTY Y'ALL!! I want my body back after childbearing, a c-section, and gaining and loosing weight and I would prefer it be better than it was before!
So I have wanted to get a tummy tuck for years y'all....I MEAN YEARS Y'ALL but I really think I had the wrong intentions/motivations for doing it (wanting to be loved/appreciated by my King to be and kept running into FROGS)! LOL.....anyway, so now that God saw fit for me and my King to find each other, my intentions are totally different. I WANT THIS FOR ME!!! My fiance has told me from the beginning and tells me everyday how beautiful I am (I love me some him y'all) and although he has helped to restore me, my mental and emotional health were in a much better place before I met him. All that being said, he and I have talked about this and he is completely supportive (although he's not too happy about the DR thing) and I know that now is my time. I am wanting to have my sx in May 2018 which will be after my wedding and before Essence Festival and the beginning of classes for me. I have been a relentless RealSelf stalker for the past two months and am so grateful for all who share their stories, insight, advice, and encouragement. I promise y'all, I have become obsessed with this site!! LOL! Anyway, I have gotten a few quotes and I am narrowing things down. I just submitted a consultation request to Dr. Almonte. Her work looks promising. The other surgeons that are towards the top of my list are Dr. Kelvin Eusbeio, Dr. Yily, and Dr. Mallol. I have come across some concerning posts on here and other sites recently about Mallol and Yily so right now the scales are tipping in favor of Dr. K. I really love the looks of Mallol and Yily's work and I know any surgery in any country has its risks so I guess ultimately the jury is still out. Any insight on any of these surgeons would be greatly appreciated. I know this is a long intro (I tend to be a talker) and thank you for seeing it through to the end. I will post pictures when I get a little braver (insert appropriate emoji here). I wanted to get more active in this community that seems to be so helpful and supportive from what I can see through my stalker lens. 2018....HERE I COME!!!

Good Luck on finding the perfect PS for you! I am 17 days post op and doing great. I totally agree that you need to do this for yourself. It is a definite emotional rollercoaster so be prepared. I have and still do stalk rs reviews. My next surgery will be a breast lift but will have to wait till I can save money.

Can't wait to see you on the flat side!

IT'S HAPPENING!!!

April2020
Sooo, I paid my deposit to Dr. Kelvin Eusebio and have purchased plane tickets!! This is actually happening! I already have my passport since I will be traveling for my honeymoon in 2 1/2 WEEKS!! I just want to scream! I had to tell my supervisor about my plan for surgery in May so that I can request the time off. Sooo, I wish I didn't have to tell her because I got push back from her about my decision to go to the DR for surgery.....needless to say, I won't be talking with her about it anytime in the future. So, my wedding day is 2 weeks and 2 days away and surgery is in May!! OMG, I am so nervous and EXCITED! When I get brave enough, I will post before pics. I am 5'2" and current weight is 160. I am so excited to get SNATCHED!!

How much was your deposit?
May 30, 2018
My required deposit was $300 which I think is around what most of them require. I sent in a $500 deposit and then a few weeks later I sent in another $500. That was the maximum amount I could send at one time per the surgeon's request. That total amount was applied towards my total surgery costs.

That is awesome! I would love to go through your surgeon. Mine locally is overpriced for his work. I was quoted 15,000 for a tummy tuck w/ lipo required up front before scheduling.
