Alright....so here they are. My belly is big and hangs, regardless of my weight loss. It really is extra skin, but it's go awful to be stuck in it! I've had 2 C-sections, one of the pics shows my scar with the skin held up out of the way. Hopefully she'll be able to use my C-section scar location, since it's nice and low. (I actually never see it now, because it's covered by the flap)
My boobs are pretty sad too. I was a D/DD cup, I don't actually know what I am now. I'm still wearing my old bras, even though they are waaaaaaaay too big...just can't justify buying new smaller ones now, when I plan to pump them back up again soon! Even my husband, who is usually quietly supportive of all of this, actually told me the other day, "yeah babe, your boobs have gotten smaller. When you have your surgery, let's get them back like they were." Haha!
I have a document saved on my computer with wish pics of boobs (breast lifts/augmentations) that I like. I'll randomly turn my computer to him and ask, "So, what do you think of these?" (Which is really out of character for me!) I don't think the poor guy knows how to answer!
This process kinda changes you a bit, since it's like shopping for body parts!

ORIGINAL POST
I have been planning/dreaming/researching a tummy...
I have been planning/dreaming/researching a tummy tuck for 5 years now. At that point I had 3 of my own kids (my youngest was a baby). Since then I have been a surrogate for a set of twin girls 2012, and a single baby in July of 2014. Soooo...that's 5 pregnancies and 6 babies!
As if that wasn't hard enough on my poor body, I have lost 70 lbs! My body needs work!! After all the pregnancies, especially the twins, I can honestly say I need reconstructive surgery. I am sure I have diastasis recti (separation of the abdominal muscles), so I'll be very curious to see how wide it is once Dra. Medina gets in there to repair it.
I knew I'd be going out of the US, since it is cost prohibitive to have my surgeries done here. Also, other countries do a much better job at taking care of you during your post op recovery period. In the states they kick you out the day of or the day after your surgery, and send you home. (I have 3 kids who would not let me rest enough!)
I researched a number of doctors as time went on. I considered Costa Rica, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. I finally decided on the Dominican Republic because the surgeons there are great at giving a very feminine shape and low incisions. After much consideration, I decided on Dra. Tania Medina. I am happy with the work I've seen, and she has been excellent at corresponding with me. I have already asked her several dozen questions, and she answers back question by question.
I plan to have a TT, BL/BA, Lipo....and maybe, maybe a little BBL. I don't want a big ole booty, I just don't want a flat ass after all my weight loss!! So, the BBL is still a question mark until I can talk with her face to face.
I have a LOT of skin left over on my belly, which I HATE!! Getting rid of the skin, and repairing the separation in my abs is going to be Ahhh-mazing...it's hard to imagine!!
Ok...I guess that's enough for a first post! I have spent so much time reading other girls' experiences and ogling their before & afters, I decided I better pay it forward and document my journey too. :-)
(I'll upload pics in a bit...once I can get my daughter off my phone!! Lol)

How exciting! I'm wanting basically the same procedures as you, except the BA - I just need a lift. I'm contemplating when I'm going to do it, but I'm thinking March or April so I can lose a little weight beforehand. I'm also going with Dra. Medina due to her quick responses, and her great reviews. How much did you have to put down for a deposit? And where are you staying?
That's why I'm chose March, gotta have time to lose the last 15-20. I'm scheduled for March 17. I had to wait until the week after my kids' spring break.
Dra. Medina really has been great about responding to me quickly. She requires a $300.00 deposit to hold your surgery date. I am staying at My Home Recovery. It was very important to me that the recovery home have hospital beds for recovering from TT, and most recovery homes don't offer them. I've read great reviews, and pictures look clean and 'upscale'.
That's a good idea - hospital beds! I just got my quote back from her today, and I'm pretty excited about the price! Of course, I'm more excited about the fact that I think I found the right doctor for me. Her work is impeccable. I'll look into My Home Recovery too, cause I like the hospital bed idea.
Congrats on ur journey my date is march 20 with Yily . I also desire a hospital bed but like u said most don't hav them . I gonna check My Home RH out. Thanks for all ur info.
Congrats on the weight loss! Thank you for starting your story here on RealSelf. We'll be cheering you on through your journey. :)
Im so excited for you, i got a quote back from her for $6000 as well. Her work looks very good, I wish u the best of luck, n post Pictures :)
That is awesome ! Is all that estimated to 6,000?
I just emailed Her ... I would like to do the same week as that is my daughters SB... How did you go about finding flights and do they except the care credit card do you know ? Thanks so much !
