I had Gastric Bypass surgery in 2006 and lost 155lbs. I am 5'6 and currently weight 180. I workout often and wear a size 8-10. I have wanted to get rid of this extra skin for a very long time, but it was cost prohibitive until recently. I researched doctors and contacted a few. Ultimately, I have decided to go with Dr. Mejia. His assistant, Paola, has been great thus far. She has answered all my questions. I am going to have a Belt lipectomy instead of just the tummy tuck due to the loose skin all the way around my waist. I am going by myself, and I am scheduled to stay at Rocio Recovery and Spa. If anyone will be there at the same time, let me know. I am excited to finally be able to do this, but I am also very nervous.

Does having Belt lipectomy better than a tummy tuck with lipo? Is the recovery the same?

It is better if you have loose skin the entire circumstance of your waist. It is like a tummy tuck and a butt lift ( not a Brazilian butt lift) in one. Some people also refer to it as a lower body lift because it takes care of stomach, butt, and outer thigh laxity.

I an nervous and excited. I did meet a really amazing woman who will be there while I am there, so that helps with anxiety a little. :-) small favors. I am posting some before pics because I just figured out how to! Lol

I'm a little nervous. The doctor just left from marking me up. I love his personality. He's funny and very energetic. We are doing g 325-350cc implants. 360 tummy tuck and if there is time and my bleeding is minimal, my arms. Originally I was getting liposuction and a bbl, but once he saw me in person he said there is nothing to liposuction out of me...so that is off the table. Keep me in your thoughts!
