Hi everyone! I'm 43 years old and tired of hiding this body. Have you ever felt like the person you are on the inside is not the person reflected on the outside? That's where I'm at right now so I'm looking to do something about it. I'm getting a BBL, TT, and Liposculpture. Initially, Dr. Salama was my top pick; however, seeing so many posts about burns on his patients made me rethink that decision. I also considered Dr. Wright Jones in Atlanta, but his office never responded to my request for a consultation. So, after doing much research over the past 2 years and reviewing countless posts here on realself, I've decided to go with Dr. Duran in the DR. Her results are amazing! Now don't get it twisted, I have no desires to look like Jessica Rabbit or any other cartoon character, I just want some curves and volume that goes with my frame and looks natural. I feel Dr. Duran is the one who can give that to me. I don't plan on sending her any wish pics, I just want for her to take this blank canvas and work her magic.

I've read many posts about how hard it is to get in contact with Dr. Duran so I opted to obtain the services of Bella Vita Consultants, because I definitely wasn't down with the chase. It's been 3 weeks since I made payment to Bella Vita Consultants and I've had no direct contact with my coordinator, only automated responses to emails that I send. I'm thinking that I just wasted $200. Anyway, I sent an email to Dr. Duran on May 12th just on the off chance that someone would respond, and I did get a response from her within a few mins. I was surprised but extremely happy. In the email, she had some questions and requested my pics. I was not about to let this window of opportunity get away from me, so I answered the questions and sent her the requested pics within about 30 mins. I just got my quote from her this morning for $5,200 for the surgery plus additional costs for other fees, etc. In total, it will be just under $6,000 for everything. I'm super excited right now. My deposit is $250 which I will be sending to her later on today. I'm hoping for a December 5th surgery date. Once I get a confirmed date, I will be looking for a travel buddy, so if anyone is interested reach out. I will be traveling alone with plans to stay at a recovery home. If anyone has any recommendations please let me know. I will continue to post as my journey progresses. Thanks...

Hi I have been trying to get an appointment but no one ever responds to my emails. How did you get a hold of her?

I just lucked out. I initially emailed her office back on 4/25, but I never got a response. I tried again on 5/12, just spur of the moment and I received an email back within 15 mins. You may want to try going through one of the coordinating companies.

Disregard my reply to your comment, I see how you were able to get in touch with Duran. Would you be able to message me the email address? I'm almost tempted to give her 12/5 as a date option because I'd love a travel & recovery buddy lol.

By the way, did you ever end up getting a reply or refund from Bella Vita? That's why I'm so hesitant to go through one of them, I'd hate to send them my money and not have anyone actually reach out to me.

The email that I contact her at is hilarioplasticsurg@hotmail.com; however, I don't get much response that way. I usually call the office at 809-565-5348 and I get through about 80% of the time. Try calling around 9am EST or between 2-3pm EST. I would love to have a travel and recovery buddy as well. Let me know.

I paid the $200 deposit to Bella Vita but then I wasn't getting any response to my emails or phone calls, so after about 3 weeks of not hearing anything, I disputed the $200 charge with my cc company. That got there attention and they emailed me wanting to know why I disputed the charge. Even after the, I tried to resolve the issue with them but they still wouldn't call me so I quit trying to reach out to them.

I had my surgery done March 31,2017 in Miami with Dr. Valls. It looks good, but I'm preparing for another surgery soon. Please post pics so I can make up my mind if I want to go to the D.R instead

Moneygram

lovinglyric28
I received my quote on 5/15 and sent the deposit on the same day. Here it is 11 days later and moneygram, who has been holding my money this whole time, has just informed me that they can't send my deposit because they believe the transaction is fraudulent and they are trying to protect me from being taken advantage of. I am beyond frustrated right now. Dr. Duran's office assistants don't seem to understand when I explain the situation and ask them if there is another way I can send my deposit. They just keep telling me that I have to use moneygram. So as of right now, it looks like I may have to find another surgeon. Is anyone else having issues sending their deposit via moneygram? If you were successful with it, please let me know what you did. Thanks.

I had issues, so I went through the Surgery Coordinator. She accepts paypal.

They finally told me told me to try Xoom by Paypal so I went that route and the funds were delivered the same day.

Deposit Received

I got my refund from MoneyGram and immediately resent it through Xoom by Paypal. I confirmed with Dr. Duran's office that my deposit was received, so I'm officially scheduled for Dec. 5th. Other than the issue with MoneyGram, this process hasn't been so bad, especially since I've done everything on my own. Next on my list....posting my before pics and researching recovery homes.
