Day of Surgery
WORTH IT$4,000
Dr. Eusebio's practice is at CIPLA; however, having my surgery at CIPLA was not an option for me for obvious reasons. So he agreed to do my surgery at Plastimedic. When I arrived at Plastimedic, there was only one other lady there waiting to have surgery. The receptionist/coordinator took me upstairs and put me in this huge room. Plastimedic is very clean. The common area, the patient rooms, and the bathrooms were clean. I changed into the hospital garments and got in the bed. The patient coordinator came in to have me sign some paperwork, all of which was in spanish. Thankfully, I still know words from when I took spanish in high school many years ago so I was able to recognize alot of words and understand what I was signing. After the paperwork was signed, Dr. Eusebio came in to see me. We talked about what I wanted and the look that I was going for. One of the things that I really liked about Dr. Eusebio is that he stressed safety first. I didn't bring wish pics, because I wanted him to give me a natural look that fits my body shape. I didn't want anything dramatic. Then he started marking me up. After that was over, I was introduced to the nurse that would be caring for me during my stay. She didn't speak english but I had a translator app so everything worked out. The cardiologist came in to check me and everything was fine. Then the person that I really wanted to speak with, second to my surgeon, the anesthesiologist, came in to ask me some questions. Both he and the cardiologist spoke english. I explained to both my surgeon and the anesthesiologist that I had a fear of waking up during the surgery and they both reassured me that they would be on top of my care while I was under and to try not to worry. The anesthesiologist then asked if I was ready to take the blue pill and I did. Now, I don't know how or when they put me under, because my understanding is that the blue pill only relaxes you, but after taking the blue pill, the next thing I remember is waking up in my bed after the surgery. I didn't have any chills and I wasn't in any pain. One thing that I liked about Plastimedic is that the nurse that was assigned to me was assigned only to me. She stayed in the room with me all night and laid on the couch beside my bed. Everytime I moved she was up making sure that I was okay. I didn't have to pay for a night nurse like I previously thought I would have. The next morning, I went back to the recovery house. I had a good experience.

DR Care Home
I stayed at the DR Care Home for 2 weeks. This recovery home is very nice and clean and it looks exactly like the pics on its website. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 with 2 beds and 2 with 3 beds. The rooms have Netflix, among other channels, which was very nice since I don't speak/understand much spanish. Everyone also has there own personal safe in their bedrooms. The bedrooms are spacious and along with the living room, there is also a lounging area. There is air conditioning in each bedroom. The property is gated and secured so I felt completely safe while at this house. There is a hair salon around the corner from the house where someone from the staff will escort you to if you want to get your nails done and/or hair washed. I didn't go but my roommate went several times and she said you can get both done for around $7 each. There is also a faja store nearby. There is a large area behind the house that is good for walking. Also, there is a small massage cabin behind the house so you don't have to leave to get massages, the massage lady comes to the house.
The service that I received at DR Care Home was phenomenal. All of the staff were friendly, from the house manager to the cleaning lady, everyone was wonderful and always ready to help if needed. The chef's cooking was very good, especially her chicken noodle soup. One thing that I will never forget is that the day after my surgery, when I returned to the recovery home, I was so tired and uncomfortable, and when the chef brought my dinner to me she saw that I was having trouble so she fed me. That is the level of care that is present at the DR Care Home. This home has doctors onsite 24/7 to care for you. The doctor's are all very nice and personable and they all speak english. I never experienced any of the craziness that I read about in reviews of other recovery homes. If I were to have plastic surgery again, I would definitely stay at DR Care Home.

Overall Post-Op Update
I had my surgery on Dec. 5th with Dr. Kelvin Eusebio at the Plastimedic clinic. Plastimedic was very clean. I stayed at the DR Care Recovery Home for 2 weeks. My surgery went well, no complications. I had a lot of discomfort during the first 4-5 days following surgery, but nothing I would consider pain. The drains were definitely annoying. I received very good care at the recovery house. Dr. Eusebio was very attentive pre-surgery and continues to be so post-surgery. I will post more detailed reviews of my surgery day and the DR Care Recovery Home over the next few days.
