I have a scheduled date of surgery on 5/24/2017, looking for a buddy!!! Anyone?!!

I have been researching Dr Mallol for a while now and he has made me feel some comfortable with this process. Staying at "Sea Mermaid" recovery home as that's whom they work with now.. have heard mixed reviews..

If anyone has any tips or is going around the same time, please let me know!

Just another number to this doctor: I had my surgery with Dr. Mallol in May. Upon arriving in the Dominican Republic, we were greeted by our driver for the Recovery Home. His name was Jay, and he was a phenomenal person. He even took my mother around shopping whilst I was healing (she paid for his gas). When I arrived at the hospital I realized my nervousness was growing. The "nurse" who did my blood work pulled out a glove that had holes in it from her pocket to put on. Knowing very little Spanish I asked for Dr. Mallol's assistant to have her get a new glove. After finishing my blood work I was escorted to a room to meet my Doctor. They tried to advise me I would have to come back as he was in surgery, but our driver had already left so we ended up waiting for a while. Finally the Doctor came in and took a few pictures of my "old body" and went over the procedures I had requested. We discussed the payment and handed over the cash. At that point I realized that their attitudes towards me had turned from human to being cattle. I was shoo-ed away until the next day when my surgery was scheduled for. The day of my surgery the Doctor informed me that they would not be able to do my Dominican Butt Lift as the anesthesiologist said it would not be good to have a Tummy Tuck and the Dominican Butt Lift done at the same time because of my current weight. Who am I to disagree with a Doctor, so I obliged, under the understanding that I could come back in six months and have the rest of my procedures done. My surgery went fine, I woke up as they were finishing. I felt nothing and that was wonderful! I moved to my recovery room where my mother was waiting. I felt what used to be my "stomach" area and was so happy to be thinner. The recovery home was decent, when the A/C worked. My only issues with the recovery home were the fact that the call button I received never worked, thank God my mother went with me to give me my medicine on time.. Not just pill form, but the shots in my thighs for blood clots had to be administered at the same time everyday, so she kept up with the times and did everything for me (she is not a nurse, just to make note). Current time: It is November 6th and I have been starting to look into going back to the Dominican to finish my procedures I have paid for... They are trying to charge me another $2,700 for the surgery I have already paid for. $3,500 including a stay at a recovery home. If I had the surgery there the price was included in my previous amount paid. I will be looking for a different Doctor at this time, and suggest you do the same. (Sorry for not including photos.)
