Day 1 & 2 post op

So my love gets me home. Ladies we've only been dating 6 months so bless his heart for the amount of care he gave because I was a disgusting hot mess. Day 1 was my worst in terms of self care. He had to feed me, monitor me, and I was literally a baby.

The next day was better. He took me to my post op appt and I met with Dr Velilla he said he added the most fast my skin would allow but my skin was tight. Overall I never wanted a crazy big butt and im pleased with my new shape and hips even knowing im still having crazy inflammation.

I really shrunk significantly from day 1 post op to day 2. Honestly ladies inflammation and fluid are the devil. You will be swollen and continue to swell for weeks. Although I'm clearly healing well compared to others I've known. I'm just tired of swelling if im out of my garment longer than an hour. Please start your lymphatic massages right away.

Also alot my throwing up was my body getting the anesthesia out.

Post op update (Surgery)

Hey loves,

Sorry I've been MIA just been dealing with initial recovery and my own mental head space. So let's get started.

Day 1 was a blur. I arrived at 9 am, did brief pre op paperwork and was given my meds and laid down to wait my turn.

First of all, I made many mistakes.
Mistake #1: I didn't meet the doctor himself until moments before surgery. I attempted prior to surgery to meet him 4 separate occasions. That should have been a sign but That's my fault for paying any money without meeting my physician first. But you learn...

Surgery time! I'm normally pretty good with pain so I didn't think twice about local anesthesia. Also in my mind I presumed the anesthetic would remove feeling.....Lies!

I felt a great deal of pain and discomfort and it could simply be that the anesthesia wasn't right for me as I'd never had experience with it before.

Dr. Velilla doesn't have the best if any bedside manner. I read other reviews prior to surgery and im not the babying type but even I was taken aback by his lack of emotion and or care before, during or after.

I was moving during surgery, kinda squirming because of pain and discomfort. I remember him chastising me like an annoyed parent lol.

All I could do was try and "behave" in fear that he would just stop working on certain areas in annoyance...lol funny but not funny.

The last thing I remember was being put in my garment and needing to throw up. Tmi but want u guys to have the full feel.

Even as I was leaving the O.R. area sick as a puppy my last glimpse was of him looking at me and he gave me a quick grimace that I assumed was his attempt at a smile. Again he seemed nice enough but very down to business. That last moment was his opportunity to reassure me that everything was going to be ok and I looked great and blah blah that u tell a patient that just spent't 5 grand with you but feels like crap lol

Pre op treatment

Today was my first pre op hyperbaric oxygen treatment. My doctor didn't require it but in my experience dealing with patients and wound care and my research it helps with the healing process. It was really informative and awesome experience. Tomorrow is my pre op appt with Dr. Velilla. I'm excited but anxious with only 4 days left before surgery
