I researched having a BBL for a year before I decided on Dr. Tania Medina in the Dominican Republic. The very first thing that impressed me about Dr. Medina was her immediate response to my initial email. She even communicated with me via WHATSAPP! She treated me more like a friend than a potential patient. Her staff at the clinic and the "My Home" recovery house were professional and so very nice! She and her staff spoke English, and everything was explained clearly to me. I have no complaints, even her driver "George" was so attentive to our needs. After I returned home I received text messages from Dr. Medina, her staff and even George the driver to make sure I arrived home safe and that I was ok. I believe I will be very happy with the results of my BBL, even with the swelling, I can see a difference already.

Welcome to the community and thanks so much for offering your opinion of your doctor.

It would be great if you could give us a little more detail about your experience, like why you had the surgery, your tips for getting good results, pros/cons, and info on the recovery process.

Our community members especially love seeing photos from before, during, and after — a realistic look at what they can expect. Photos grab the attention of the community and encourage more support for you.

As a community manager, I get requests all the time from other members who want me to to keep encouraging people to share their experiences, which are so helpful for others considering these procedures. So please accept this as a well-intentioned request from thousands.

You have reaffirmed why I am going to have Sx with her in March! Please show us some before and after pics. Also pls go into detail about My Home RH that is where I will be staying. Good Luck and congrats to you, I will be following for updates.
I will wait until the 6 months (full recovery) to post pics. Right now, I can see a difference (because I had no butt at all) but it's not as plump as I would like. However, I'm still healing and I'm still swollen. It's only been a month. As I mentioned, the RH is called "My Home". It was clean, and looked just like the pictures on the website. It's the tropics so there will be mosquetoes. I was very pleased with her staff which consisted of a DUTY RN, 3 DUTY LPN, two massage therapist and two cooks. There was 24 hour physical security and security camaras. The house was gated, and had bars. I was impressed with the security provided. Also the home is owned by Dr. Medina's husband (he's also a surgeon). Be advised that the month of March is at the height of "Tax Refund Season", so expect the house to be full. All the ladies that stayed at the RH with me, were very nice. There was one or two that were not as "nice" but I heard that during the "Tax Refund Season" it could be interesting. I mention this because you will share a room with up to 3 people. I had the room downstairs, with no roomates. One reason was that most of the ladies prefered to be upstairs. I hope all of your house mates are as pleasant as the ones I had, but remember that has nothing to do with Dr. Medina and her staff. Also you should be aware that you're in a foreign country. They don't cook like we are accustomed to. The food is good but it's prepared different. Dinner was the best. Again, I am not posting any pictures until May, this way, everyone will have the true results. I hope this information was helpful and best of luck to you!
Thanks, im sure you will look amazing
If not, I will not go back to have it done again I met a few ladies that were there for their 2nd BBL. They were younger than I, so I guess their recovery wasn't as bad. That is not my testimony. It's been a long, painful and uncomfortable process. I'm just being honest. May I suggest buying your Fajas (2nd stage post surgical garment) before you go. This way, you will have one that fits to your liking. Otherwise you can end up spending a small fortune trying different ones. The one that is sold at the clinic is $130.00 You can go on Amazon and find them cheaper. Maidenform Comfort Wear is a good brand. When you go on Amazon.com search Post Operative Garments and Shape Wear. Another site I found is: The Marena Group . http//marenagroup.com. The Post Surgical Garment is such a vital part of the recovery, that it can make a huge difference in your end results. I spoke to a "Medina Doll" who said that she wore hers for 6 months post surgery. I did online research about the garments, and found most doctors endorse the garment, only a few said it really didn't matter. You'll find that you will want to wear the garment because it holds everything together and you feel secure having it on. It also helps your blood to flow to the new fat cells. It shapes and contours your body and helps you not to eat much (because it's tight). It's basically an unforgiving girdle. If after going through all of this, and I still don't have a nice booty, I'm getting implants, because I simply can't go through this again. I started the research on "Butt Implants" today. Knowledge is power. I don't want to scare you, I'm just wish someone would have informed me. But then again, we all heal differently. I'm 57 years old, in really good shape (retired military) but this recovery is a challenge for me, one in which I do not want to repeat. If you think of any questions or concerns, I will be happy to tell you everything I've experienced. But remember, this may not be your experience, you may just breeze through your recovery period with no problems. Being optimistic is the key. Because even though it's been hard for me, I'm still hoping for a good result. Best of luck to you!
Im pretty much going into it with the mindset of there's going to be plentyof PAIN! This way i cant say I didnt know lol. Im not getting a BBL, im doing a TT with Lipo and possible breast lift or arm lift (I might chicken out on both lol) I think im going to just chaulk it up and buy my Faja out there because I want to be sure I have the correct size and not have to send it back wasting valuable time. Also I changed Doctors, im going with Dr Jose Leon now, I really love his work and my friend is going with me so i will have company. I just pray all goes well and I can be of help to someone else like you are. Happy Healing Doll!!
Question, did you do a currency exchange for your trip? I leave next week and idk if I should get pesos from my bank. Any suggestions is appreciated!
