6 Weeks Post OP BBL, Tummy tuck, Lipo by Dra. Robles

My swelling has gone down a lot but it's still hard waiting to be completely healed.

4 Days after BBL, Lipo, and Tummy Tuck by Dra. Robles

Sorry for the blurriness in the pics, I was really tired that day.

6 Week Post-OP BBL, TUMMY TUCK, LIPO Dominican Republic

So the first thing I have to say is, this is a hard journey. There’s a lot of little unexpected things that can catch you off guard so if you’re having surgery soon remember to stay positive!
I have a high pain tolerance, so I think the worst part of healing is the lack of mobility. If you get a tummy tuck you have to walk bend over for AT LEAST two weeks. It sounds easy but does a number on your back. If you have back problems, please keep this in mind. I was able to gradually stand up straight after about three weeks but I didn’t want to rush myself and make the scar wider.
Speaking of which, the scar is amazingly small! Part of the wound did reopen a bit above my right thigh, but it healed quickly, and imo the scar doesn’t look awful.
The lipo was and is by far the most painful part of my experience. Dr. Robles said she did a lot of lipo on my back (YAY! ????) so it was a weird combo of sore and numb for about 4 weeks but now it’s just swollen. My flanks were worse. They were sore to the touch up until last week and are ridiculously swollen. This doesn’t sound like a big deal but it makes it really hard to sleep or lean on any part of your body that had lipo and you can’t sleep on your stomach after a tt so I highly recommend a sleep aid along with keeping up with your pain medicine. And if you get armpit lipo plan on not reaching things up too high for a few weeks. Your underarms will be so sore and stiff it will be hard to even get dressed so remember to rearrange your home accordingly. It’s totally worth the pain though I’ve gotten mad complements on my arms!
The BBL has been the easiest part of this journey. I got the bbl pillow by Dr. Miami and it made things a lot easier. At first my butt was huge and hard as a rock but now it’s mostly soft and I feel like it’s close to the final result. We’ll see if the fluff fairy comes along. So far so good…
Swelling is no joke though! When I first woke up after sx I looked bigger than I was pre-op. Not everyone sees their results immediately because the first thing your body will do to start healings is swell. For me, it’s been going down gradually since about 2 weeks. This has been the most discouraging part because I have no idea what my body will look like healed. According to my research, people that get lipo on their flanks at the same time as a tt usually have the most swelling, so if you’re doing both please don’t expect to wake up flat. I really wish someone would have told me that because until Dr. Robles reassured me, I thought something went terribly wrong. But it’s normal and at 6 weeks my figure looks great with clothes on. Naked the swelling is pretty obvious but I’m thankful for my progress.
At this point the pain is pretty much gone but occasionally I have random nerve pain, usually on my sides. I can do all of my daily activities but I’m not lifting anything heavy at work. I’ll try to post pics today or tomorrow.
