5 days post op

Ok so I know I've been M.I.A. for a while but the recovery process has been a lot and I haven't had time to post any new comments..anyway I've been here since last Monday and I still have a week before I leave. My surgery was on Tuesday and let me tell u..the first two days after surgery is HELL!!!! I mean ur so nauseous and sick from all the medicine the nurses pump into you while your in the hospital after ur surgery..I got a tummy tuck and I kept throwing up the first two nights..everytime I threw up I could feel my stitches from my stomach burning cuz I was contracting my stomach muscles so tightly as I threw up..(ugh!!!) but after the first two nights..recovery gets much better. I'm staying at virginia recovery house..it is a nice place and Virginia and her staff is excellent. The good is great although u may not have an appetite the first couple of days in recovery. I don't like all the pills you have to take three times a day and also three times a day the nurses come to rub a healing gel on your body to help wit circulation and bruising from the lipo. The worst thing about recovering from a tummy tuck is walking bent over..it is a huge strain on your back and causes me to get tired quickly and I can't stand for long cuz my back hurts..I have to walk bent over for 3 weeks in order for ur stomach n the incision to heal correctly!!' Also I may have to go home wit my drain..if you get more than one procedure done like I did then it's a 95% chance u go home wit ur drain. I saw DR Robles today for the first time since my surgery she said I'm healing well but I need to drink more water..it's so hard to drink 3 gallons of water a day..my stomach gets so full but it's important to do so cuz it drains all the stuff n fat out ur body faster..I can't really get a good look at my body to see if my butt is big or see my figure cuz. I'm so hunched over all the time but I had the nurse take some pics of me fresh out recovery and I'm post them so u guys can see...although everyone is nice I miss home like crazy!!! If u can help it.i would say come with someone cuz if you come alone..u will go thru a ray of emotions like regret, loneliness , depression and such.,..but overall it's no real pain just a lot of discomfort..u have to sleep sitting up if u get a tummy tuck it's very uncomfortable cuz they have these hard twin size mattresses that they prop a whole bunch if pillows up on and that's how u sleep..I wake up every 2 hours cuz my neck gets really stiff..I'm update again in 2 days guys. I can't remember everything so if I'm missing something or it's something else u need to know don't hesitate to ask.

been in the clinic all day!!!!

So I arrived here in DR about 2pm I had no trouble going through the airport and finding my driver once I reached baggage claim he was right there holding a sign up with my name on it..he was very nice and brought me straight to the Cecip clinic...one thing I must say..the process is quite long but it is legit. For the past 5 hours I have been poked n prodded by everyone they don't just throw you into a room n start cutting you open..lol I had numerous blood tests taking including HIV, pregnancy, my hemoglobin levels tested, an x Ray of my chest, urine samples, and I was even seen by the cardiologist to run test n make sure my heart n pulse is healthy enough for surgery...I must say the people here are very nice but they barely speak any English..it took me forever just to order a sandwich out of the cafeteria...I still haven't seen DR Robles or Laura yet...I'm waiting for them now..I just got through with signing the last of my paperwork n taking the last bit of tests...the hospital is very clean but it is absolutely freezing cold!!!!! Please bring socks and warm clothes cuz u will be blue by the time you leave here..my surgery is 6 am so I'm staying here I'm the hospital tonight and tommorrow they will transport me to Virginia's recovery house.although I'm glad they are very thorough in this process I'm starting to loose patience I'm tired as hell I been up since 5 am and I just want to lay down this process also seems very long and lonely when you're doin it by yourself...but otherwise everything is fine and I will update after my surgery tomorrow guys

At the airport!!!

Ok so I'm currently at Newark airport waiting for my flight to DR!!! I'm super excited I wasn't able to sleep at all last night..smh I must admit this morning I was feeling lonely n depressed n scared because I'm taking this whole journey by myself..I had a mini panic attack n almost wished I could back out of the whole thing..although I'm still nervous I am excited now..I hope everything goes smoothly when I get to DR airport n I see the driver right away..I will keep u guys updated on how my experience was at the airport in DR and how my experience is meeting laura n DR Robles for the first time, once I reach DR...ttyl
