My initial surgeon of choice was Manon. But I...

My initial surgeon of choice was Manon. But I switched because of poor communication from Rossa. He communicated well but Rossa would never confirm my date after I sent the money. After reviewing other dolls, I chose Disla because I love the work she did with body types that were similar to mine. Her daughter Ambar is and was great with communication. The only thing that was not communicated to me was how long my stay would need to be. But she always answered all my questions in a timely response and ALWAYS remained professional. Another thing that I loved was DISLA always answered my answers and questions pre and post op. I stayed at Visage of Grace Retreat for 7 days. Absolutely love them. I was suppose to have my labs done the day before but my flight was delayed and I landed in the DR after the clinic closed. So I woke up early to to get them done and was cleared by all the specialist. I waited in Disla office from 9 to about 1130 waiting for my time for surgery. Then I finally got to meet DISLA....she don't let the height fool you. Her personality is grand and she is a fierce Latina. She marked me up and the anthestiologist came in to give me my blue pill. I was out in 15mins. I did wake up to the procedure and I was very disoriented. They place a blue curtain below your next line to prevent you from seeing what's going on during the surgery. I was so delirious I kept asking them to remove it because psychologically I felt like I was being smothered. The anesthesiologist did try to console me and I'm assuming they gave me more meds because I was knocked out after 5 mins. But before I did go back under I did notice that it was disla speaking past the curtain and I felt someone else doing the lipo on my arm. So I'm assuming it was her surgical assistant. After surgery my Overnight night nurse was unable to come (didi/dlara) so she sent another nurse by the name Ana. She was was very warm and compassionate. She alerted the nurses when I needed pain medication and when I was nauseous. The only concern I had was that I wish Didi was more forthcoming about her double booking and not being able to be my nurse and that Ana initially wanted to leave before I was given breakfast instead of waiting for me to be discharged and picked up from recovery house. Nonetheless, I liked Ana she was really sweet. Ladies, always get an overnight nurse; the call light did not work in my room, and the hospital nurses barely checked on me. I didn't get to see Disla upon discharge, but her assistant came and she cleaned me up and helped put on my faja. She doesn't speak very much English but you can tell she was compassionate as she was very gentle with me. Overall I am happy with my results but I am only 3 weeks post op. One of my nipples don't look at aligned as I hoped for but they are much better than the sagging ones I had before lol. The tummy tuck scar is beautiful and very low. The jury is still out on the BBL one side looks slightly bigger than the other. I did recieve instructions from her to use the ultrasound massager on that area to help reduce it. I'm hoping it works out well and if not I hope she honor correcting it in the future. I will recommend her because I believe she cares for her patients, I love her and the team communication even when she gave me an earful about leaving early. The only cons were that I left the hospital without post instructions that I had to text them about and got an immediate response, and the mix up on how long they expected me to stay. Otherwise if the BBL thing gets corrected I will be extremely satisfied.
I will put a disclaimer out there for all future dolls! I didn't technically leave early because that information was never given to me on how long my staff should have been for a tummy tuck. I even had to show her all of my text between her and ambar and it was never mentioned even after I sent them my flight itineary. Under no circumstances should anyone leave early without their surgeons approval. The only reason I left on the date I booked was because the ticket was already paid for, I am a nurse, and I work with several doctor who will be following me post operatively wise. My doctor was very impressed with her work, he followed her discharge orders of me seeing him twice a week, he removed my drain when there was less than 500cc in a 24 hour period. At this point I haven't not developed any post op complications or seromas.
Post op care is very important just as pre op care. The massages must continue as they did in the DR. I get three massages a week and I will continue until I complete 15. I did not have much swelling right after the surgery and I still don't have any now. The massages mainly help with the stiffness, keeping my blood circulating, and prevent any possible seroma.
Ill keep you ladies posted.

She responds well, caring, and compassionate. If I ever go back for a round 2 it would be for the correction needed for my BBL.
