BEST DOCTOR for *LASER RESURFACING*

WORTH IT$4,500
I've been a patient at Dr. Giordino's practice (Carolina Age Management, Birkdale Village) for over 2 years. Have had several non-invasive procedures during this time including Botox, Fillers, Microneedling, various Peels. With all of these, I was trying to "fix" my real issue of facial "sagging" and wrinkles...none of these treatments were working---The entire time, Dr. G was highly suggesting to do a full Laser Resurfacing....however, expressed the TIME needed to heal from such an invasive procedure (at least 2-3 weeks heal time, and beyond_---but that I would achieve amazing results & be extremely happy. I was terrified of this "down time"; and appreciated the before/after pictures (many of which were very scary 1-week post procedure) & the HONESTY of Dr. G in that I would not be initially happy while healing.

I decided to go forward with full laser resurfacing on Monday 5/11. As I write this, I'm now on Day 6 post procedure, and still VERY MISERABLE. This experience is brutal, not painful but uncomfortable. I cannot leave the house at all (no sun exposure, and believe me, you don't want people to see you). Dr. G did all he could to prepare me for the emotional ordeal & that I would certainly question "why" I ever did this to myself....but I cannot tell you how awesome he was, and how he has been thusfar, to hold my hand through each day because each day of healing is getting better.

The first 4 days post surgery, I came into the office each morning for the staff to do vinegar-soaks & check progress, re-apply the ointments & do some light-therapy. It was SO comforting to be able to have the care like this from Dr. G & his staff. I don't know how on earth ANY office could just do a procedure like this, and expect a patient to just "go home" with a packet of instructions. The level of care you get from Dr. G & his staff is above & beyond.....SO, before you decide to embark on any facial procedure, I highly recommend you consult with Dr. G. He's not going to "over sell you".....It took him 2+ years of doing my peels, microneedlings, light therapies, fillers, botox *before* I finally took his ultimate advice to underdo this Laser Rejuvenation.

I'm not going to submit photos here on this site; tomorrow marks Day 7 & I fully anticipate being able to feel more "normal" within the next couple of days & perhaps begin to use a little makeup ---- Understand that this procedure is a marathon, not a sprint. You will look like & feel like hell for a good 5 straignt days at least. Which is why it is ultimately important for you to choose a Practice that is going to treat you like gold, respond to you, guide you, and care for you like Dr. G & his staff does.

A bit of a "funny" story is that I was headed into the office for my last vinegar-soak of the week, and another patient was behind me. (I've tried to always be the first appt so I could "run" in without being seen by anyone except for the office staff) She was about my age, dressed for work in heels, makeup, and was just there to buy skin cream. I could tell she was "trying" not to stare at me, so I simply said, "yes, I don't mind you staring at my face....I just had laser full resurfacing 2 days ago, and I know I look like death....but, understand this was a 2-year decision of constant peels, BBLs, etc., that weren't resolving my facial sags.". She said, "Wow....thanks for the warning....!!"

My spouse supported me in getting this done initially, but has cursed looking at me every day since, wondering "why" I did this to myself and that I was "beautiful" before. So, prepare your loved ones that you will not "be you" for several days----their support is critical. It will be hard for them to look at you & see a red, swollen, goopy , bruised face !

My last advice is to take a picture of yourself every day, as I have. I scroll through them to mark my journey so I can see the progress....

By all means, if you have any questions, I'll give it to you real-world! The only question you shouldn't have after my review is "who" you should go to first for consult & discuss options....That is Dr. Giordino (& staff) at CAMI.

Happy Healing!

Wow Thanks for you honesty. I am making an appointment for this in the fall. She keeps telling me that it's a tough procedure. And I am trying to do while my husband is out of town - for the same reason. I don't want him to see me that way. I have a fabulous doctor already, just need to jump in. I'd love to see your pictures. I too am scared of the pain and downtime. And I am an avid outdoor's person. How many days do you need to be in "hiding" do you think?
