Dr LoMonaco also took some fat from my flanks and put in my derrière which I obviously needed. Now I have a nice shape!

THE Best Doctor for Body Lift and Abdominoplasty
For years, I looked for the right doctor to do my lower body lift and abdominal surgery. I am 58 now, but had two normal pregnancies in my 30s (the first stretching out of the skin) and in my 40s, had several orthopedic problems that ended in bilateral hip replacements in 2017. I had gained a lot of weight before the hip surgery due to pain and immobility. After that recovery I got to my normal body weight. My skin was just worn out and saggy.
When I saw Dr. LoMonaco's before and after photos I knew I had found the right physician. His technique is superior. You can see how low the incision lines are in my photos; he follows your natural curvature. I can't say enough good things about him, and if you want this surgery, he is by far the best.
I am an RN and have worked previously in the OR with plastic surgeons, so I was very familiar with the abdominal and other body enhancing procedures.
I had my surgery with Dr LoMonaco in December 2019, so it has been 8 months now. I had some post op swelling but no real discomfort. I needed Benadryl to help with a reaction to the skin glue, and used the pain meds which were enough to keep me comfortable. The recovery was relatively easy. I used a lift chair for the first 2.5 weeks. At first my abdomen was very tight, and I felt hunched over, but over time my muscles were able to get back to a new normal.
I had about 10 days completely off work and started teleworking for a week, and after 3 weeks went back to he office (out of necessity). I did fine, but a month completely off would have been better.
You can see from the photos my posture is normal and the incisons healed beautifully- you can barely see the lines around my hips. The front is still a little darker but I am sure after a few more months that will fade like the rest. The lines are literally invisible under my panties and swimsuits.
I'm back working out but mindful of my abdomen, and don't push anything. My back side is back to normal.
Dr. LoMonaco has great bedside manner, I really connected with him during my first interview in 2018.
He has a great staff working with him who answered all my questions and addressed my concerns. Destiny, his First Assistant, is very knowledgeable and personable. I had a fantastic experience with all of them.
I live in Virginia and flew to Texas to have this surgery with Dr. LoMonaco because he is he absolute best.

How long did you stay in Texas and how was the traveling back home?

I was in Texas from December 3 -- 22. So if I had to do it again I would take a whole month off work, or at least telework a few weeks before trying to go back. It was okay a 3 hour flight home so they gave me permission to fly. I think usually they don't want you to fly that close to surgery. It was ok- luckily it was short. I had all my compression garments on so I was not uncomfortable during the flight.
Your results are amazing!!!! Do you have any before pics that you would feel comfortable sharing?

Hi.. I had a body lift October 27, 2020. How long did it take for you to see full results? I am still very swollen in my lower tummy and pubic area. It's not flat. Does that part take awhile...
You look great by the way.
My swelling went down over a few months. Just give yourself time to heal- it's a big surgery. Your swollen areas will flatten out over time and the scar will fade to barely noticeable.
Contemplating this surgery after debulking lipo a couple years back. Did you have extra skin on your thighs as well? If so, did you have that addressed? You look amazing!

It pulled up the loose skin that had been on my thighs. Everything improved in my lower body including how and legs.
