Diva Vaginal Not Worth It.

I went in for the Diva treatment thinking this will be wonderful. Menopause has been tough on me. I have very painful intercourse. It burns and I bleed. I read about the Diva and thought this would be my answer. After two treatments I was so excited I thought I finally will be able to have normal intercourse, no pain, no bleeding and my husband has been so understanding. No such luck. Its as painful as ever, it burns, I bleed its just horrible. I am very dissapointed after spending all that money, its not covered under any insurance. I am so dissapointed that it did not help. I am frustrated and upset because everyone talked so highly of the treatment. I don't think anything will work at this point. I guess that you menopause no more intercourse.

Dear Inquirymind,
Thank you for your review. The issue of vaginal wall thinning due to estrogen depletion after menopause is frustrating and challenging to manage. As you know, conventional medicine does not have much to offer to treat this condition aside from local estrogen therapy. The diVa hybrid fractional laser offers a way to regenerate the mucosa back to a fuller thicker state.
We recommend a series of 3 treatments based 4-6 weeks apart in order to completely see improvement to the mucosa. The treatment settings depend very much on how severe the thinning (or atrophy) is initially. As the tissue changes and improves the settings are increased at each visit to stimulate further tissue growth. Once the initial series of 3 has been completed, the tissue continues to regenerate for up to 12 weeks. While many women start to see results even after their first treatment, if the thinning is severe, your results may not yet be evident. It does take some time and patience to get the full outcome.
At our clinic we follow Dr. Coyle’s protocols for vaginal atrophy. We have not had anyone have no improvement after completing their treatment series. In fact, in our experience our patients have been thrilled with their results. It is why on Realself diVa sees a 98% approval rating.
I would really encourage you to come back to complete your treatment series. We may be able to discuss some additional supportive therapies for you as well. Additionally, because we are a physician owned and run clinic, we can address other health issues such as yeast infections, vaginosis and diabetes that may be impacting tissue response.
At RevitalizeMD we really do want to help our patients improve their lives with good outcomes.
I do hope that you get to complete your treatments in order to assess the diVa properly.
