Disappointing Breast Lift

I had high hopes going into this breast lift surgery with Dr. Roughton, but the experience left me disappointed and emotionally drained.

One year post-op, my breasts still feel saggy with no volume. Around six months in, I started noticing new issues: uneven nipples: think esotropia/cross eyed and a wavy crooked scar on one breast. When I asked why this happened, especially since I never had asymmetry before, she had no clear explanation. The revision surgery didn’t fix it. In fact, it made one breast smaller than the other, and now I’m left with noticeably mismatched shapes: one pointy, one rounder.

My original consult was for a breast lift with possible implants. The idea of implants was quickly dismissed by the surgeon, who said I “just wouldn’t like the results.” I agreed to her plan of an auto-augmentation, and that was the only reason I booked. The plan was still the same at the pre-op appointment. But on the day of surgery, she changed it to just a lift. Everything felt rushed, and although I agreed in the moment, it was too late to fully process or back out. I no longer felt like my preferences were being prioritized.

The most painful part was how impersonal the whole process felt. There was no real follow-up unless I initiated contact. Even then, I had to email and wait for someone else to reply. The only times the surgeon personally followed up was with a generic email asking for a review, and when I requested to speak with her about the crooked scar and asymmetry.

I’m sharing this to help others make an informed decision. I don’t recommend this surgeon or this practice based on my experience and the results I received.
