Less impressive results almost 5 months post...

Okay, so it has been nearly 5 months since my brow lift and the brow seems to have dropped again. I'm disappointed really. The only new thing now is the scar otherwise I'm pretty much back to square one! If anyone knows of a good brow lift surgeon (preferably in the US as they really seem to go for gold) then let me know. I am determined to get the fox eye look I am after.

Direct Brow Lift: No More Sad Eyes

So dolls, I am posting this review because it is so difficult to find a good surgeon specialising in ophthalmology in the UK. Also, I rely on reviews for everything (I'm pretty sure we all do).

As you may or may not know from my previous posts, I research everything I do thoroughly and Dr Daniel Ezra was one of the top surgeons I came across for a brow lift alongside Dr Dominic Bray. Depending on the technique used, surgeons will accept/decline the challenge. Dr Bray refused to perform a brow lift on me because I have a large forehead (honestly, it sucks...I need to do something about that too!), and so his endoscopic approach could potentially give me a fivehead (haha, poor Dad joke). However, when I had my consultation with Dr Ezra, I mentioned the prominent forehead and was relieved to see that did not faze him in the slightest. I knew he was the perfect surgeon for me once he got to discussing possibilities. Firstly, he preferred to do a direct brow lift which offers the most powerful results of all techniques. Secondly, he is a perfectionist (he never said this, but once I listened to him, it was clear his fastidious care coupled with his diligence would not allow him to do a half-assed job). I knew he would not leave me with an unsightly scar as some doing a direct lift have done to others. I had studied his work and the consultation only confirmed further his skill was above and beyond.

In the consultation I described the outcome I was after - essentially a cat eye look without going for canthoplasty (other surgeons have warned of the dangers of a canthoplasty, so why risk my eyesight?!). He explained how we would achieve this and reassured me that I was in safe hands. He listened carefully to my concerns, addressed them, and informed me that should I wish to discuss anything further at any point, to book in again with him. He was so easy to talk to - not at all stiff and formal like some surgeons can be - not to mention honest! We spoke at length about the possible scar, but I had made my decision and I trusted him to do it right.

I had a few questions which I shot across to his secretary Karen - mainly around the next steps. Karen always responded promptly and thoroughly once she had spoken with Dr Ezra, and I couldn't feel more comfortable with all. I had a number of photos of what I wanted (make sure you take this into all appointments with you and even show the Dr on the day dolls). I shared them in emails, in person, and used them as constant reference. l'll add them here so you can see too.

The day of the surgery I went over what I wanted once again with Dr Ezra. I asked for a more conservative result as I can always get a further lift, but I know correction is incredibly difficult. Post- surgery I experienced no pain or bruising (and I bruise if you just tap my arm!). Amazing. No dry eyes, no headaches or tension. In fact, I was pretty much back to normal within an hour of surgery. The bruises and slight swelling came almost a week later and not even that bad!

I was told in my post-op consultation to wait 9 weeks for the full result. So far so good dolls, but I'll post up some pics in 2 months so you can see the end result. Oh, and the scar is not even a scar. I'm putting medical silicone on it (I'll add that picture too), but honestly, it looks like a scratch.

Loving it! Any questions, feel free to message me dolls :)
