Mid-Life Dimpleplasty: One Month Out, Just Starting to Love It

WORTH IT$2,000
As a woman in her young 50s, I am at the happiest point of my life and I wanted to reflect that in my actual smile. Like everyone else, I always wanted a dimple. Just one. Writing review to give the most honest feedback on my true experience for my demographic, especially.

I went to the very top doc in my area who has done a couple other fantastic procedures for me. He is just getting into Dimpleplasty, has done quite a few of them and explained his technique, what to expect, the healing process, etc. Sounded exactly like all of the information I had researched online. We decided to do one small, "long dimple" on my right lower cheek, to flow with my natural crease.

So on day one, post procedure, I almost cried. My face was swollen, slightly bruised, with a tiny hematoma and what looked like a small gash. It did not look like a dimple at all. My surgeon reassured me that within 2 - 5 weeks, the swelling and all would be gone and the dimple would just begin to flatten out. I do believe in him so I began to feel better, but it was still very upsetting at first. The websites really don't mention or show this in detail.

Fast forward just one month from surgery. The swelling/bruising is gone, the tiny hematoma is almost gone, my dimple looks a million times better *with some makeup*. Without makeup it does NOT look like a natural dimple at this stage, important to know! It is prominent and present at all times. My surgeon said it will continue to flatten out and look more natural with time and continued healing.

I am just now beginning to really like my dimple, with makeup. I do not feel that it looks like a natural dimple, though. Hoping as time and healing continue that I will keep growing to love it. People barely notice or they think that it's always been there and they just missed it.
