I had my dimpleplasty 3 months ago in one famous clinic , Melbourne Australia. I am not happy with the result would like to ask if my progression is normal or vice versa. My indentation scar still look visible & i wonder if this will flatten as been told by my doctor & due to this surgery i have visiblr line created between nose to the hole (dimple point)

Permanent Indentation After 7months

Anyone experiences same problem as mine. I had two permanent indentation even without smiling & surgeon doesnt want to responsible. He ask me to come back after 1 year. I am so depress with these two permenant holes. Very obvious even without smiling and he create very visible smiling line

Still after 2 years now..i live with regret for ruin my face.my surgeon refuse to do anything about this

I also had dimpleplasty at this clinic. It's been 3 years l still have an indent when my face is resting. I'm not happy with the result and the Dr said it's normal and won't do anything. Would never recommend anyone to see this Dr. Thinking to go to Korea to fix it

Dimple Plasty Left Permenant Indentation

My dimple indentation still obvious after 1 year post surgery. I am very disappointed because i reckon, the dimple surgery left my smiling line look obvious and when im smiling the dimple continues with the smiling line. I try to explain to my surgeon, he said that is normal. I need some advice about this post surgery. The hole still look very deep. I am exactly 1year 2 months now after surgery. I did 2nd surgery on this side to remove the dimple right after 2 months surgery because i felt something wrong with the dimple as the stiches look like pull my smile line look obvious, but unfortunately the dimple not disappear but the hole still deep , obvious without smiling.

hi, i’m just a week post op dimpleplasty but have done my fair research on the whole concept and procedure. not an expert by any means but the way i understand the concept and judging from your photos, i would say what caused the now-obvious smile lines is due to the placement of the dimple. i’ve read several times before that ideally a good placement would be the intersection between a horizontal line from the corner of your smile and a vertical line dropped down from the lateral canthus of your eye. your dimples seem to be placed quite nearer the mouth and also following the natural path of your smile line. so when you think about it like it were a tufted cushion, the scar tissue essentially just pulled in the rest of the tissues toward the dimple area, hence the natural indentation of the smile line followed. if you can have it revised, maybe talk about placement with your doctor.
