Update
So I didn’t get into Surgery until around 8pm that night and woke up out of surgery at after midnight with chattering teeth constantly asking if my bbl had been done too apparently it was so funny my brother was in hysterics filming me ???? thus I can confirm the feeling of inconsolable internal freezing is accurate but I was expecting it so had my brother throw the thick duvet on me plus another blanket and I shivered away almost contently. I did ask for an under bed heater as I had read this was common practice after bbl surgery about but this particular clinic/hospital didn’t provide that but did have a thermostat in the room that controlled the a/c and heat so my brother just cranked it all the way up to full blast boiling which i couldn’t feel for a couple of hours whilst he was sweltering in the heat lol.
Surprisingly the tummy tuck wasn’t as painful as I thought it would be. I’d say the tightness of the torso binder they put on me along with the compression garment and the tummy tuck Kpad I had bought made my rib cage feel like it was getting squeezed for dear life from a size 16 to a size 10 over night. I had to shallow breath. The actual tummy tuck only hurt when I had to do anything that required core stability which includes chocking on water, coughing, sneezing, getting up and sitting or laying back down. Aside from that it just felt very tender/sore.
I was kept dosed up regularly with adequate pain relief, which did more to help me sleep than ward off the what little pain there was to be honest but sleeping was the best thing to do to forget that I had just been cut open and stitched back together again.
In the early hours of the morning maybe 4am once the anesethic had worn off 2 nurses came and woke me up and carefully helped me out of bed to take a walk to ensure I still had use of my legs etc. I can remember the feeling of swollen feet touching the ground then the startling tug of my abdomen as I tried to stand up right (totally forgot I’d be hunched over for a while) I Hunched back over and went for a walk All was fine. The were shocked by my quick pace considering I’d just had surgery. I was returned to bed (ouch) reattached to my IV drip given more sleep inducing pain relief then tucked back up in bed lovely.
I was worried about ruining my bbl seeing as I had no choice but to lay propped up on my back. They had put my bbl pillow under my thighs but not high up enough. I then started to feel an ache in my lower back and bum from sitting on it too long so tried to adjust to my side a little. This feeling soon turned into back ache so I asked for more pain relief so I could drift back to sleep.
By this point I no longer shivered but equally still couldn’t feel how much of an inferno the room was until I was woken up at breakfast time by the feeling of unbearable heat. By this time my body temperature had fully normalised and I was now experiencing what my brother had endured the entire night.
Accelerated Healing
Today I feel amazing! I had my surgery done last Monday a week later I’m walking upright I’m not in pain, my swelling practically disappeared over the last 2 days.
I’m not sure if I had mentioned but I have been wearing my earthing/grounding knee support in Turkey immediately after surgery which plugs into the mains (only uses earthing/grounding the other pins are non active) and I sleep in a earthing recovery bag which is just like a single person sleeping bag that zips up and keeps you grounded you can also use it as a flat sheet unzipped. You can research the benefits but I love this for when I can’t get out and walk barefoot in a park etc.
