Robotic Repair of Umbilical Hernia & Diastasis Recti

Hi my name is Joanna I'm 33years old. I have a 15year old daughter, and a son that just turned 3years old last month(Oct), and another son that just turned 2 this past Sept. (There 11mo apart). Growing up I've never dealt with any type of weight problems or obesity, but that obviously changed in 2017. Im 5"6 and have always weighed around 163lbs, but in late 2017 is whn I separated frm my husband and I gained a lot of weight. The heaviest I was 260lbs. So fast forward to now, I had my surgery May 21st, 2022. I had the choice to either do an open repair or robotic. I chose robotic because I wasn't at all near my ideal weight to do the open repair where they could've taken my extra skin off. Im luck because my insurance paid 100%. My umbilical hernia was like the size of a softball. In the Dr notes it said I had a moderate size pannus. But since my surgery my stomach has gone down a lot. My back feels so much better too. I'm currently trying to get to an ideal weight. I've been seeing a weight specialist that my surgeon sent me to, I'm taking Saxenda, and it was working great for 3months, then it's like I hit a plateau. Whn I started the Saxenda I was 260lbs then I got down to 228lbs, and currently I'm 234lbs. I'm gonna start documenting my weight loss journey..
