3 wks post

I'm back to me! I haven't healed 100%, but I'm well enough to shop and walk my dog. Mainly i wear dresses since i don't need anything squeezing me. That is still uncomfortable, and i still have to adjust my seats every time i drive cause that is super uncomfortable. Oh, and i can't sleep in any position except straight on my back. I absolutely hate it and am barely sleeping because of it, but that's my only real complaint. My stomach went down 2 inches, but now that i can do light exercises (walking) i will lose the rest of my stomach soon enough! I have high hopes.

Keep the pics coming...I'm interested in this. Did doctor tell u when to see final results?
My doc said 3-6wks of recovery. My incision spots have almost completely healed. I'll continue to add pics.
Looks great! How are things now?
Way to go! You look great! Good for you for taking care of mama! I have 3 kids and also work full time— it can be hard to prioritize yourself. Hope you achieve your goals!
Ok so did he correct the hernia and diastasis without having to do the tummy tuck? And since you didnt get the tummy tuck, did insurance cover it or not?
@Energetic1518 I had the same surgery. I am post op 3 weeks. I feel all of the same symptoms and only can sleep on my back. My insurance covered the hernia repair and my doctor worked in the diastasis repair as apart of the hernia repair. I was so happy. I am going to work on my abs within the next two months. Hopefully I won’t need lipo in the future.
Insurance did cover it since I only got the diastasis and hernia repair. I was excited to hear that because I had been told no so many times by different doctors.

Day 3 post op!

I finallly made a bm! Whatever, it may be tmi, but all the trapped up gas and bubbles where painful as heck. So, im excited. My husband brought me miralax. Immediately looking at it i started gagging having flash backs of the day before the surgery i had to consume the while bottle. So i was like, no screw it, I'll deal with the pain. Then as day 2 went along i finally decided to not be a victim of trapped gas and poo, so i drunk the miralax. This time with juice not gatorade.

Anyway, i will be taking a shower this morning! I dont feel up to it, but my kids keep asking why i havent changed close in a couple days. I honestly only missed two days of showering, i dont see the problem with that!

Also, ive switched from the heavy duty pain meds prescribed to some over the counter extra strength Tylenol. It seems to work just as well. I'll post more pics soon, but I'm still so swollen i dont think i look much different at all. Keep in mind i only got the hernia and diastasis repair, no tummy tuck and no lipo.

Sounds like all is going well. Take good care of yourself, and try not to do too much.
Well done you, haha. I remember having the same feeling after my last C-section. I have terrible diastasis after my twin pregnancy - my waist grew to 60”! I’m pregnant with my last baby now and looking forward to getting this fixed after baby arrives. Thanks for sharing and keep us posted!
Omg 60? Well i also can't imagine twins. My last baby came out at 12 lbs. I had already had diastasis before have her, but pushing out 12 lbs definitely didnt help. My waist was 40in before the surgery and still is. Hopefully its still swelling and bloating making it this size.l, and it will go down soon. Good luck on your surgery and delivery!

24hrs post surgery

I've only need pain meds once since i've been home. Don't get me wrong, i definitely feel it, but i understand i will be feeling it for a while, so why drug up, get used to it so you're more aware when you're healing. Idk, that's just me. I don't like anything that alters me thinking.

Meanwhile, i have not seen my stomach yet! The nurse wrapped this compression band or something around it and i just assume leave it cause i think the pressure helps it to feel better. My husband saw them put it on and he says my stomach looks great. Im not expecting a flat stomach cause i know i have my own pouch going on, but it shouldn't protrude as much as it did. I'm hopeful!
