Diastasis Recti Repair with hernia

UPDATED FROM Phenomenal3324
1 month post

5 Weeks Post op

I’m feeling better after looking at the before and after pics... I’m still super swollen. I’ve shown where on the photos. My scar is really low so it bulges much lower. My scar is so hard and I have a numb sensation bellow my bb. It kind of feels like I’m at the dentist, where you know they are pushing, pulling but you can’t really feel it.
I know it’s going to take longer to see the flat results. But I’m happy to at least finally see some progress. I started back at work after 4 weeks ( so glad I saved some vacation time) I’m more swollen at night, the photos were taken at 9am.

You look great! What a difference between the before and now. My swelling is the opposite of yours: jelly at the bottom and more firm around and above my belly button. But I get a lot more swollen at night too. I'm also very numb. It's not gotten any better since surgery. I'm hoping to see a huge improvement by week 12.
I think I look better in the photo than what I see. I guess it’s because when I look down I look much bigger. Like a 4 months pregnant look.
I too would like to lose 2kg over the next few weeks. That, combined with a decrease in swelling, will hopefully give us the results we want. It's just so hard to be patient!
Yes you are looking really great! Love how low your scar is.
Thank you. I’m just wishing the time away... so that I can see the finished results. I’m calorie counting to try and shift 2Kg. Then hopefully when I exercise my skin will firm up. You can still see the crease lines from before. So I want rid of that.
You're looking great!! My lower abdomen is also hard as a rock , and numb, but is getting less sensitive slowly. I think I'm a bit further on in my recovery, so I think it just slowly improves. Thanks for your update!
Nice results!! I love your scar, so short and well healed. I am still freaking numb at 3 months po and hate that - and I am numb exactly where you describe in your photo. That sucks but I guess we will have to just wait until it goes away. Happy healings my love :)

Swell hell but the scar looks good

I continue to swell, and I feel totally numb around the scar and where the diastasis Recti was fixed. I feel like I’m about to give birth!!!! On the plus side at 3 weeks PO my healing is going well. I don’t return to work until one month PO and am so lucky to be able to rest. My scar looks really thin and still has the steri strips on. I go back in 6 days to see the surgeon.

Your incision is so thin! You look fantastic!
Yes!!!! Omg it looks freakin awesome! And so low.
Thanks ladies!! Still really bloated and round from the side view. I’m wearing my compression garment 24/7. I see the doctor on Friday which will be 4 weeks PO.
Gosh, you look fabulous!!
Your scar looks great

Day 12

The scar is really low and healing nicely. This is me lying down. When I stand up my stomach is really bloated and hard. It looks really similar to my before photo, so I can’t wait for the swelling to go down.

Your scar really does look amazing and so thin and small!!! Gonna heal up real nice!
I am with you!! I am 7 wkspo and am still waiting for the swelling to go down. If I am being honest, it has reduced significantly from surgery day, but still has a long way to go. Reminding myself to reserve full judgement until 12 months post op. Your scar looks like it's healing well. :)
Love your scar!! All nice and scabbing. I may hace a "dog ear" developing at one side that will likely need repair. Your scar looks terrific, especially for only couple weeks post op. Congrats!! :)
Can't wait to see your final results :)
