WORTH IT$6,500
I'am having my surgery on August 14 and I'am very nervous. I'am really worried about the pain I'am going to have after the surgery. Is there anyone that can give me an idea of what the pain is going to be like. I'm so nervous and scared that I'm about to talk myself out of going through with it. I have wanting to do this for awhile and I finally got my husband to agree to let me do it. I guess I want to know is it worth just going through with the surgery.

It is most definitely worth it!! The pain is really not that bad by day 4 you are getting around south easier. It is a long process of healing but most people are back at work after 2 weeks I recommend taking 3 off if you work. I am at 6 months Monday and I would do it in a heart beat. Good luck

It's really not so much pain as just being achy afterwards (for me). The IV and being naseous have been the worst parts. Stay on top of your pain meds, ensure that you have a lot of support afterwards, and prepare yourself to be very mellow for a couple weeks (the recovery is long). It's worth it! I had a full and I would compare it to a c-section with a slower recovery, however everyone is different. Good luck!!!

My ps did an excellent job with pain management. I haven't had a lot of pain. I chose Exparel over the pain pump and I came with strong pain meds, most of which I was off by the end of day 5. For me it was been worth the little pain I experience, my c-section was worst honestly. Good Luck!!!

while you are lying in bed, with your knees bent over the knee wedge or pillows,or in recliner with knees bent....you do not feel any pain. when you are helped up (first 3 days) you must not do anything to help yourself get up---.. let them put their arms around your upper torso and pull you up... but you do nothing.... do not try. when they do it that way, you should be fine. once in a while, there might be a sudden sharp pain, - momentarily - then gone. it is usually more of an uncomfortable achy feeling as you move and get up to walk. but it is not horrific pain at all. take your meds regularly with zofran if you get nauseated(like i do),----i used zofran dayimes, but i used phenergan at night because phenergan makes you sleepy as it alleviates nausea - but zofan does not. the narcotic works. use it and keep on top of the constipation. use miralax and prunes and dried apricots daily. take deep breaths regularly each hour - this surgery disrupts the respiratory system - nothing you notice, but it does. keep your lungs active. you need the clear lung, oxygen flow for healing. do not be afraid of the pain. it is more annoying not to be able to function normally and to be aware of your body all day than anything else. you will love your results!!! look at my site - i prepared a list for pre and post op. good luck!!!

I'am 3 days post op and today was a good day for me. I'am able to go to the bathroom by myself, I'am able to walk up and down the stairs by myself. Today I went for a drive with the hubby to visit my sister and kids and I even noticed I was standing up straight a little more than I was yesterday.
