I'm 52 mother of 2 college aged girls. I've had this surgery scheduled almost 10 years ago, but chickened out. this time I'm ready. I'm a 44E and going to a C. I can't wait to relieve the weight off my shoulders and reduce the constant back pain. I am nervous about the recovery period. I have one daughter living with me, but I'm not sure how helpful she will be with her busy schedule. And good suggestions on make sure I've prepared everything I can before the big day?

My surgery went well. I'm 3 days post op. I've been very fortunate to have a friend come stay with me and help me out. At this time the discomfort is less than I expected. The majority of my pain is where the liposuction was done. The area is also very bruised. I was sent home with drains I have my follow up on Monday so hopefully I can get the drains removed then. I have very minimal drainage. I'll add some pictures tomorrow
You are about to feel like a totally new woman. Take a look at my Notebook and you will see my lists and journey from my surgery. Let me know if you have any questions. As long as you have someone home and helping you the first 2-3 nights, you will be fine. Just remember no lifting, or lifting your arms over your head for a while. If you follow that rule you will do well.
That is really nice, glad to hear you are being taken care of so well.
