Last Post Op

Went for my last post op...even though my nose is still a little swollen still at the tip, it feels and looks amazing :) i cant wait till it gets completely back to normal :) Destin Plastic Surgery, Destin, FL have posted my post op pictures.

Back at work

Hi guys and girls,

Well it has been 10 days since my surgery, and I am back at work full time. I have a very active position at an Outpatient Cancer Clinic so I'm on my feet 10-12 hours of the day. I still feel slight nausea now and again if I move too fast. I did my first round of push ups today, but I found keeping my head elevated a little harder than I expected. I can do most of my CrossFit positions with no issue except I am not cleared to lift what I did before so I am starting at 10lbs and increase weights on bar by 10 lbs every week. I will attach an updated picture when I get home today.

Cast is off

So peeps, today was the day!!! Cast came off. It was slightly uncomfortable, but as soon as it was lifted off, a sense of relief. It took me about 3 minutes to build the courage to look in a mirror. Oddly enough, I was surprised, then pleasantly surprised, then shocked in how bruised I still am...and how swollen I still am. That being said, happy so far with the results. I will be getting my 8 week post ops and pictures along with a facial as I don't want to traumatize my face until it has had time to calm fown. I have very small stitches where osteotomy was done on either side of my nose. Both the stitches on each side of my nose and the stitches on the bottom of my nose will dissolve within the next few weeks. I was cleared to go back to WOD within a week, but to start off at 10 lbs...happy to be doing anything right now. I was also cleared to wear glasses but Dr Burden warned me that this might give me pain on the bridge...I have decided to wait 8 weeks for a facial, 1 week to work out, 1 week to wear glasses, and to encourage my body to heal without forcing more on it than it is ready for. I will update another picture in a couple of weeks.

I had my pre-op 2 weeks before my surgery. Dr Burden explained what was going to happen during the operation, and what I should expect during my healing process. I am now 4 days post-op, and healing is coming along nicely. I have "chipmunk" cheeks going on, but my bruising is turning yellow.
