LOOKING INTO AN EXPLANT PROCEDURE- BYE BYE TOXIC BAGS!

britkwhit
$5,600
Looking into removing my implants with an en bloc procedure. I have noticed some things going on with me that are not normal and found out about BII (Breast Implant Illness). I started getting very dry skin around my nails a couple years ago... no big deal. Just use more lotion.
My hair has been falling out and thinning a TON in the past 2 years. NOW it's starting to snap and break so easily. No big deal, treat it with more conditioner... keratin... take prenatal vitamins...biotin... Don't use heat and hair dryer... comb it with a wide tooth comb...
Majorly irritable, can't get out of bad moods... It's just hormones'/PMS/busy life... No big deal, just slow down and focus on controlling myself...
Anxiety... tasks and things I used to love are now stressing me out and causing anxiety and shut down.... No big deal, I'm just changing
Libido steadily dropping. Like non existent some months.... No big deal, take some supplements and vitamins to help increase my drive.... it'll change/come back eventually.
Aging on my skin/face and grey hair like crazy the last year... It's just getting old. I'm 32, suppose it's time to start showing signs of aging. No big deal, use more face cream and dye the grays...
Except, NOTHING is working! I'm looking up the toxicity of silicone cohesive gel implants and holy crap ladies, it's not good! My problems are so minor compared to other women, but this could just be the beginning of a giant snowball from letting these toxins sit in my body.
Looking into local surgeons and hoping to get these out this year! Do your research before getting any type of implant ladies!!

So sorry to hear this! This is what scares me about implants. Want them so bad but afraid of getting BII down the road. I hope all goes well and you feel better!

My biggest advice is FOLLOW YOUR GUT.... I had so much apprehension and felt the same way about implants for years, but back when I "researched it" there wasn't much out there about BII and I honestly didn't look very hard either. Had I read what I've read now, I NEVER would have pulled the trigger to fill them up. Listen to your gut!

Hi Heather!

Out of the millions and millions of women who get breast implants every year, very few of them ever get/experience BII symptoms. I have had my cohesive silicone implants for 10 years and have never had an issue! Don’t let fear of something that MAY or MAY NOT happen stop you from getting your dream boobies!! :)

I went and ran a ton of blood panels and it turns out my thyroid antibodies are on the rise (just slightly elevated)... so we got a routine ultrasound and I have a multinodular goiter. I'm only 33 and looks like I'm headed for a Hashimoto's diagnosis. Perfectly healthy otherwise. If you look at the thousands of women who have REVERSED their Hashimoto's or other autoimmune diseases after explanting I can't help but think these gorgeous boobs aren't worth my health. Everyone can make their own choices, but my health is priority one and the rupture rate under 10 years is rising and you cannot detect leaks with the cohesive gels 90% of the time! You are right at the mark for replacement, 10 years is when the manufacturer suggests replacement and no longer warranties their implants if they rupture. I'm decided that they need to come out, now the real testament will be if my lab numbers change!

Please keep us posted. It’s always nice to know if in the future we run into these problems

I would be curious to hear if your numbers change!

Do you happen to have an IUD? I have some of the same issues and they started about 4 months after getting my mirena IUD. Just curious. Hope you feel better.

the itching has stopped, finally!

Alright, my skin is less red and finally not itchy (ok sometimes a tad itchy). It's starting to peel a bit and still raised, but finally getting better. I love my boobs! I'm getting used ti the no bra. The steroids have caused my bruising to get worse, but was expected. Here they are in a cami.

You look great braless in a cami! I'm so glad you are feeling better and itching a lot less. The bruising will fade eventually, too, and you will have the lasting benefit of beautiful boobs! Wishing you no itchiness tomorrow forward. Happy continued healing. xoxo

Holy Allergic Reaction!

britkwhit
Had to go in today due to my rash getting way worse and way itchier! Good news, don't have to wear the awful band anymore AND I got a prescription for the terrible reaction. Bad news, it's still itchy and it'll take time for the steroid to work. I have another appt feb 11th and should be cleared to start wearing bras then! Can't wait!

Hey, let's think on the bright side. It's better to be allergic to the bandage than the silicone implant. lol
January 26, 2016
Hahaha true! I just can't believe how bad my skin reacted! I have clean socks in my arm pits do the seems in my shirt don't irritate me worse!

I am scheduled for a BA on March 3. So, the allergic reaction is making me nervous. I have super sensitive skin that breaks out from anything odd. I am curious if you usually have allergic reactions to things or if this is unique. Also curious if they identified what caused the rash. I will be sure to tell my PS that I have sensitive skin.

Oh, but the augmentation looks great!
January 27, 2016
This is VERY unusual for me! My skin is not very sensitive and never ever reacts like this! My PS said it was the adhesive glue they used to secure my bandages. He said if I ever have surgery again to warm my doctor I react to the spray adhesive glue. This was honestly the worst part of my recovery haha...

Thank you, I'm so happy with my new chest!

You poor thing! I'm so glad you got in to the office and were given medication. I sure hope it has started to kick in and offer you some relief. You look great by the way. It's hard to believe you are only 4 days post! Wow. Happy, healthy healing. xoxo
