Got Impressions for my permanent crowns today!

Wahoo! The process is almost over. I’m done with Invisalign and got fitted for my crowns today. It should be 3-4 weeks before I get them on. I have to go to the lab in about a week so they can custom match my crowns to my actual teeth color. In the meantime I still have the temporary crowns and am wearing my last Invisalign trays at night in place of retainers. Once I get my permanent crowns on at the dentist, I’ll go to the orthodontist and get my retainers ordered. I can’t wait for this to be over!

I got temporary crowns!!

So the Invisalign process for my top teeth is DONEEEE! And I just have very little bottom teeth movement left because there is one tooth that is a little crooked. I’m currently waiting on those trays to come in. The exciting part was my dentist put temporary crowns onnn!!!!! I will be wearing these for either 1 to 2.5 months depending on if I need to have another gum grafting procedure. I’ll know in 2 weeks which one it will be. I can’t believe this process is almost over! I am so pleased with my smile at this point and the best part is that the permanent crowns will be even more beautiful!

1 more surgery!!!

I got my dental implants placed at the end of March and they have healed up real nice! I was able to wear my Invisalign trays with the pontics with ZERO problems. The surgery wasn't bad AT ALL and was nothing even close to how invasive the bone grafting was. The only problem now is that I have some shadowing at my gums where the implants are because my tissue is too thin so you can see through them. The correction for this is a soft tissue grafting surgery. This will ensure that you don't see he shadowing at my gums when my crowns are on and to help prevent recession issues later on in life. I am getting the soft tissue grafting in about a week and that'll take about a month to heal. Then I'll go to the oral surgeon and he will shape my gums. My gums will heal for about 2 weeks and then I'll be ready to get my "imprints" for my crowns at my dentist! I am basically finished with the Invisalign process, but for aesthetic reasons, my orthodontist ordered extra trays for me so I can wear them while I wait for the crowns which was a god send! This whole time I was so worried that I would have to go in public with missing teeth, but I never have had to. I'll update in a couple months because thats about all I have left ????????!!! Can't wait to upload my final picture!!!
